After purchasing a pair of shoes here the week prior I returned to buy myself a bday present. I compared shoes I found across the way at Zumies and after finding nothing I liked at Journeys the sales person offered to order something for me online. I said no at first but he pressured me a little and I said I’d take a look. I found what I wanted and he said free shipping. So I’m excited and then Thursday rolls around no shoes! I check my email and there is an email from a rep at Journeys who although sounding very polite and professional said they don’t have them, never had them, and won’t be getting them! Dam it! Really Journeys? After all the sales person did to get me to order them they font even have them at all? So instead of leaving thst day at the mall wiyh a pair of shoes i left empty handed thinking id have them soon… no go. Bad business. High pressure sales. Poo poo on u Journeys

After having a major lack of service at another shoe store the previous day, it was the icing on the cake that I had the douchiest service at this Journey’s location on Sunday. I had gone to the Vancouver Journeys on Saturday(where I had absolutely fantastic service) and found an adorable pair of red flats which they unfortunately didn’t have in my size. When I came to WA Square on Sunday for an item at a different store, I realized there was a Journeys location there too and excitedly popped in hoping they had the same pair in my size. I walked up to the guy with dark hair at the counter and asked him if he would look for the shoes, and he went into the back for them. They unfortunately didn’t have them either but he brought me out the gray pair of the same shoe in case I wanted to try them on for size. I politely declined the gray shoes as I wasn’t interested in them, and thanked him for looking. He offered to look for the shoes at another store and order them for me. I politely declined that as well. They were cute shoes, but they weren’t so important to me that I needed to seek them out. I wouldn’t have gone back into another Journeys to look for them if I hadn’t conveniently already been at that mall for something else. What happened next was absolutely innapropriate. He pressed on about ordering the shoes. «are you sure?» «Yes, I’m positive, thanks though.» Loud and snottily he said, «Well you seemed like you really wanted them, I don’t know why you don’t just let me order them for you.» «No thank you.» Raising his voice to me even more in an angry stance he said, «Are you sure, I mean really…» «Yes, I’m sure.» At this point I felt like he was trying to intimidate me and pick a fight. He wasn’t politely asking, he was almost yelling at me. Snottily again he said, «Guess not» as I walked out. Who the hell does he think he is talking to a customer like that? I was incredibly annoyed and offended by the time I left. I understand working on commission can sometimes lead to a hard sell, but I have never been spoken to like that as a customer, nor do I think that it was appropriate in any way for him to push me like that. Bullying a customer into buying a product is a surefire way to cut your commission and lose overall business. I am positive I will never return to this location and positive that I will share my experience with friends.
