Jennifer L Lyons, MD

Dr. Jennifer Lyons is simply brilliant and is the only one I trust with my eye health. I travel from Seattle to see her several times a year for my high eye pressure and potential glaucoma issues. She is a doctor who doesn’t rush to prescribe life-​long, expensive eye drops for my condition but instead keeps a close watch on me and takes into account all factors. I feel very lucky to be in the care of this amazingly skilled opthamologist. I believe she is deeply serious about her role in preserving eye sight and is a very focused person in general. She can seem slightly aloof but it is only due to her fierce preoccupation with giving the best care she can.

This doctor was unkind to my daughter when she went in for treatment of an accidental eye injury. I would not recommend this doctor to treat injuries. She might be okay for routine stuff but no bedside manner for anything beyond that.

If I could give Jennifer Lyons negative stars, I would. This is the absolute worst experience I have ever had with any doctor.
She was very busy that day, which I was not upset about. I had to wait about an hour and 45 minutes for my appointment with her, but I was in no hurry that day. However, once she finally got to me, she saw me for less than 2 minutes.
I was a new patient of hers and she did not introduce herself or even pretend to care like most doctors do. I had major concerns about my eye health and she dismissed them immediately without asking me any questions that were relevant to my eye. I have a severely drooping eyelid that causes headaches and blocked vision but she made a judgement that I wanted cosmetic eye surgery and that was that. She decided to refer me to a cosmetic eye surgeon (which she didn’t actually do).
She then dismissed me by simply not talking to me and I awkwardly left the room.
I cannot even put into words how awful this experience was and what a horrible doctor Jennifer Lyons is.
