Jeffrey Penikas, MD

I started seeing Dr. Penikas in 2011 and he helped me and was an amazing doctor through my entire pregnancy. I was hospitalized at 27 weeks and on bed rest till my son came at 34 weeks. I felt so great knowing Dr. Penikas was caring for me. I have him again currently with my daughter who is due next month and he has again been amazing, watching me carefully in case pre term labor happens again.

I went to see Dr. Penikas for an annual and answers to some questions I had. He was a total sweetheart. Best OB/​GYN I’ve ever had. He will be delivering my future offspring as I feel he is «the one».
I liked that the center sends you a letter with your PAP smear results signed by your physician. It added a nice touch and shows they care.

I had originally wanted a woman OBGYN to deliver my second baby, thinking that I would be more comfortable with a woman doctor but am very glad that Dr. Penikas was the only Dr. available at Columbia Women’s Clinic at the time.
Dr. Penikas is very experienced, yet, even after all the babies he’s delivered, still seemed excited with us about our baby! His bedside manner is so great and I felt completely comfortable with him both professionally and personally and would strongly recommend him to other women!

I started seeing Dr. Jeffrey Penikas at the beginning of my 4^th pregnancy. He is just like burst of energy and happiness, which is so helpful in such a gloomy state. I actually look forward to seeing him at my appointments. Even if I am having a bad day, being in his presence gives makes me smile.
He is very professional and answers all of my questions very thoroughly. He is extremely patient and will work with you if you have any concerns or special requests. When I was requesting to get a tubal ligation immediately after delivery and the hospital denied me, he continued to submit requests for me and would have fought hard for my wishes if I wanted to continue with it.
During my entire 9 months of being pregnant I have never left his office unsure about my visit. Being very easily irritated, that says a lot of someone, especially a male.
On the day of my labor and delivery I felt so comfortable when him which made my delivery a much better experience. And after 4 kids I have a couple of doctors to compare him with and there is no contest. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and everyone. He is awesome and I am glad I found such a great OBGYN.
