Hot Lips

The dude with the green ear plugs and pierced septum is a straight up passive aggressive asshole. He got quietly bent out of shape when he told me a menu item was out of season and I was surprised. (Pears — I have several at home so…). The piece as on the menu so? Then I asked for the apple pizza — they were out of apples. So I ordered some other things. A whole pie. Two slices. A breadstick. The whole pie was good enough. The rest never came. When I asked, he told me they had called it and when nobody came they «threw it out». Lol. What? I paid for it and we were sitting within sight of the counter. I even donated a 20% gratuity for the shitty attitude. The service here is absolute shit and the pizza is mediocre. I wanted to love this place. I will tell everyone about this experience. The product is just fine.

We loved the sodas! Very good! The pizzas were also good, with a lovely chewy crust and a softly sweet sauce. This has no bearing on the restaurant, but my lips started tingling after eating the pizza. I may have a hereto unknown food allergy, or I may have discovered why they call it «Hot lips» pizza.

Simple delicious pizza. They have a cute outdoor patio to hang out too. all their pizza is made fresh with local market ingredients. the planet café is also right next door and there is a little cute coffee place.

Hot Lips is great. Nothing overwhelmingly amazing, but good, simple, pizza.
We live nearby and frequently come by for a slice and a pint. The staff is friendly, and the place is always clean.

Ordered a gluten free and dairy free pizza with sausage, we picked it up and it was very gluten and dairy full. When we took it back, they were accommodating (however, not terribly friendly) and gave us a cold gluten free pizza with sausage. Unfortunately, they decided to forgo the vegan cheese. Again, we returned the pizza requesting they add the dairy-​free cheese. Eventually, an hour and a half after our initial order we left the shop, cold, gluten free, dairy free, sausage full pizza in hand.
