I would never go anywhere else for my tattoos!
If you’re looking for asshole tattoo artists who think they’re better than you and treat you like you’re a noob or whatever, look somewhere else! DZ is friendly, curteous and actually cares about your opinion.
Oh, and the colors he does in his tattoos are simply GORGEOUS!

Not your average hair salon! This establishment caters to a very diverse crowd of artists and innovators. Whether you want hand painted custom designed hairg colors, out of this world ink work, or a sick graduated shave/​fade DZ delivers. I came to him needing a unique but professional look and he gave me gorgeous golden blonde hues with vibrant pops off near-​white highlights. When I was ready to go darker and more adventurous he discovered an ashy ombré fade with a near black root to blonde shafts to deep blue tips. I never would have thought I was interesting or confident enough to pull this look off! Somehow I leave his salon feeling like a rockstar in my own right.

DZ is a very legit tattoo artist and a great guy. I came in with an idea for a mid sized tattoo and over a period of a few months he worked with me to create a custom half sleeve that I absolutely love. If you want something original and high quality done by a fantastic artist, this is the place to go. He also plays some great tunes at his studio.

DZ has become one of my favorite people in the world.
When I came to him it was to fix the sad job I was doing on my own head. I’d been doing the same old thing for years, not really excited by my own appearance, not really feeling the confidence that others said they saw in me.
It has been a bit over a year since I’ve started working with DZ, largely letting him do as he pleases with my tresses and I’ve never felt more fabulous in my life.
Taking his advice was one of the best decisions I’ve made in my 30s. Decorate your temple however you want and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Once you do, the world is a happier place. And if you want someone awesome to help you out with it, get in touch with Hood Rich.

I’m not giving this shop 5 stars because it’s the best Body Art Salon in the planet. I’m giving it 5 stars because it embodies the same professional underground ethos that underlies my everyday work.
As a promotions coordinator for underground Hip-​Hop and Electronic Music, all my clients are rock stars in their own right. Hood Rich treats them as such and doesn’t try to pigeon-​hole them.
