Best place for spiritual gifts and crafts. My friend and I enjoyed browsing the interesting collections of clothes, zen items, and beads. We walked in and felt such great energy. The shop keeper was very nice also. She gave us recommendations on what to check out while on portland.

This place has a lovely stone Buddha that graces everyone who walks by it on 23rd. Last time I walked by, yellow gopher scurge plants were blossoming and the prayer flags were blowing, beckoning me to enter. If you are wanting India style clothing, such as yoga pants or Shiva printed shirts, this is your place. I went here with a friend and we found lovely sarongs but they were a bit overpriced. For gifts, try out their wooden sculptures and keepsake boxes!

The proprietors of this store are extraordinary in their attention to friendly customer service. The store itself is a jewel, well-supplied with appealing merchandise from Tibet and elsewhere in East Asia, and raises the level of classy, unpretentious good taste of the whole city all by itself.

So today was another day of exploring. I started off in the Pearl and meandered my way over to the Alphabet district. I have very limited experience with the area so I wandered up 21st and saw several bars and restaurants I didn’t know about. Heck when you live over in Buckman and have Hawthorne so close, I don’t really go much out of my area because there’s more than enough new places to try that I don’t usually have to end up this way. I headed over to 23rd and ended up in here at Himalayan Arts. It’s a nice little downstairs shop. Ramod is the owner and is a very informative individual. He was telling that all the clothing and goods were from either India or Nepal and he was telling my about some of the Buddha figurines, the prayer bowls and a pillow that he had made that aligns your spine and chakras. He was telling me a bit about Ganesh and about how to tell the difference in the details on some of the other figurines. It’s always good to learn something new. There were some nice long sleeved cotton pullovers and skullys and plenty of artwork. There was also some nice jewelry and even one or two things I’d consider getting. The prices weren’t too bad and there were even a couple of things I could have gotten for my kiddo, although not really much of a place to buy stuff for kids. I can easily see the«hippy» type crowd enjoying this store quite a bit. Even Ramod mentioned that, and clearly I’m not that. I still like good art. All and all, a cool little shop that I will make it back to. Enjoy.

This is a great store, and the lady who works here(always there with her son) is the sweetest person. I now only buy my winter accessories from here.

My wife has purchased some of the neatest stuff here. She loves it. The staff is so friendly and we are proud to support them over some corporate chain. If you’re in Nob Hill, you really should stop in here. They have something for everyone, whether it be a little Himalayan trinket for under $ 10 or a hand made bowl for just under $ 1,000.

One of my absolute favorite stores in Portland. They have the best Himalayan scarves, shirts, and incense in town. The owner is amazing and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome in her store. I love visiting 23rd Street anyway and always make a point to stop in here, well worth the trip.

Visiting Portland from LA — I stopped in this shop with my daughter & brother to look around. My daughter & I ended up getting a few pieces of jewelry and I bought a statue of Ganesh for my sister in law. The selection is good, the prices are good, but my conversation with the lady behind the counter was priceless. What a nice person! She is the reason for the 5 stars. :)

I found a uniquely handcrafted Buddhist long-sleeved top that isn’t available in other shops I’ve been in and around the Portland area. They have a wide choice of earrings and the ones I purchased were so unique, handcrafted and high quality that again, I could not find it when I shopped elsewhere. I love this store and I found it has the gamut of quality so that if you are looking to buy something of higher end with a bit of unique flair, you can get it here.

This store has the best selection of incense and scented oils in town. They are so nice and helpful. Also there imported gifts make it easy to shop for anyone. Also they sell down at the Saturday Market which is how we first found out about them. Thanks for being so nice to all of your customers!
