Hearing Health

When one has an out of town guest whose hearing aid suddenly stops working and she cannot hear a thing, things can get a little dicey very quickly. I quickly searched Unilocal for help and came across Duane who is an angel in disguise. He’s so kind, compassionate, extremely helpful and very knowledgeable in the hearing aid world. He got us on the right path to hearing again just minutes after I called. He saved her vacation! Without his help and expertise her Portland stay would have been miserable. It poured rain while she was here, but at least she could enjoy the sound of the week long monsoon. Thank you Duane for being kind, honest, and a very proficient hearing aid specialist!

As I wasn’t satisfied with my prior hearing care experience I had occasion to visit Duane as I needed some maintenance done on my hearing aids.
I am certainly glad that I checked Unilocal first before selecting an audiologist as my experience was exceptional! I found that my original hearing aids had never been fitted properly as a result I missed most conversations and couldn’t even hear the TV. Duane offered to give me a hearing test while I was there and found my hearing aids so mis-​programed he offered to re-​program them for me. I spent well over an hour there and walked out not only with my hearing aids cleaned and some parts replaced but a completely different hearing experience after the re-​programming. I found I could hear conversations around me that I hadn’t heard in years. When I returned home I turned on the TV and much to my surprise I could hear it just fine!
I would highly recommend Duane to anyone who has a problem or suspected problem with their hearing or are dissatisfied with the performance of their current hearing aids.
I have been to numerous audiologist’s and I have never had as positive an experience as I did with Duane. I should mention that this didn’t cost me anything!
There have been a lot of exciting changes in technology in hearing aids in just the two years since I received my hearing aids and he took the time to explain all this so when the time comes to replace my current pair I will certainly go here.
