Grocery Getter Organic

Did you ever sit in your house, watching the rain pour down, feeling a bit sorry for yourself because you know that if you go out and head to Freddies it will be all cold and the best you can hope for is some limp old greens and Starbucks?
When this happens to me, the reverie of my evening is interrupted by a cheerful knock on the door and the Grocery Getter folks are standing there, smiling but wet and happily hand me over an amazing bag of food.
Greens, squashes, veggies of all kinds pour forth from my bag, smelling wonderful, incredibly fresh and I am grateful. Grateful for my life, for my community and for these wonderful folks who work so very hard to bring some health to my door. No longer do I need to go out in the wet and be disappointed. I can sit and enjoy my dinner with a nice glass of Oregon Pino and call it good.
Veggies are clean, fresh, varied. They have various options for which type of bag/​box you can get, and are VERY friendly and have some of the best customer service around. We are PICKY and GG has a banned list, so you can say «Hell no, don’t give me any of that nasty old eggplant, beautiful as they are…»
I’ve done a few CSA boxes, co-​ops and the like and these guys are simply the best. No days old, limpy and muddy veggies.
Put your money where your mouth is PDX. This is the real thing. Go right to their site, sign up and enjoy. You won’t regret it.

Having someone as passionate as Mike is about produce pick your food is quite a treat. Always friendly and high quality. Well worth it.

Mike and Felicia were at the Kenton street fair today. They had free samples of their delicious organic fruit. Which was heavenly, especially in the warm weather. They were offering 25% off your first delivery, yay!
Mike specified that you can order as often or as rarely as you like. There’s no annoying automatic debit from your account. And as far as I can tell, it’s Felicia and Mike that grow, package and deliver the produce. My friend from Vancouver was excited at the idea of organic produce delivery, unfortunately that would be a tall order for now. So, they deliver in the Portland area only. They’re friendly and people and their fruit is just in time for the summer heat.

Coming from Southern CA you may think its all movie stars and swimming pools, but we know a few things about fresh produces. Growing up i had a famers market year-​around only a block away. This is the closest thing to having that year-​around market I remember, dirt n’ all :) Your box isn’t just dropped off its delivered. Mike comes by every other week with a box full of the tastiest fruit and veggies. so if you are on the fence don’t be this is top quality.

We have been getting deliveries for almost a year now and i think it was the best choice i have made in years! affordable, fresh, organic options fills our fridge weekly.
We have lots of fun with learning to cook with new veggies that we get from time to time.

Since we’ve been getting a Produce Box delivered every other week, we’ve been so happy with the quality and variety we get. We have also been eating healthier at home, cooking awesome new recipes and leaving the house less often for groceries! We are sold on home delivery!
