I have seen a lot of acupuncturists, and Summer is by far the best. For years I suffered from chronic (and mysterious — the docs never did find anything wrong with me) stomach pain. Not only was she amazing at relieving the immediate discomfort, she also gave me tips on little things I could do on my own to help when I had flare-​ups. Over time, the pain stopped and six years later, it hasn’t come back. I can’t say enough good things about Summer. She has treated everyone in my family at this point. (She’s particularly good with kids — using non-​needle treatments).

Amazing! I’ve received a lot of acupuncture and have to say, Summer is the best. She was very thorough, kind and knowledgeable. I especially liked the diagnosis method and how she checked to make sure the points were effective before placing needles. She respected my wishes to avoid certain areas. After the session, I immediately felt better and found the benefits to be lasting. It’s as if something I struggled with for years was unblocked. Also, the online scheduling and email/​text reminders were helpful. Definitely recommend.

Gentle, compassionate healer! I started seeing Summer over a year ago for help with some severe digestive issues that allopathic medicine could not help. Her style is different from other acupuncturist I had seen, she doesn’t just put in a bunch of needles and then leave, she checks and rechecks. She also put me on custom herbal blend, she is such a talented herbalist. I am happy to report that my digestion has improved dramatically since seeing her. I would highly recommend her to anyone who may be scared of needling, she is so gentle!

Definitely recommended! Unique Japanese Acu style, and abdominal diagnosis. This was a much different session than I have had in the past and I have had a ton of Acu. Her needling technique is very gentle, and so I would think it would be great for first time patients who are nervous about the needles. Very thorough and talented therapist.

Summer is the third acupuncturist I have visited and I am so thrilled to have found her. I’ve had incredible improvement with the eczema on my hands & feet as well as some chronic wrist pain with the acupuncture treatments. She also performs cupping on my back and shoulders which I LOVE! My shoulders have never felt so relaxed.
Summer is excellent at listening to your concerns/​needs and explaining in simple terms what she is doing and why. She is obviously very knowledgeable and confident, I highly recommend her!

Highly recommended! Until a few months ago, I had always been interested in acupuncture but was a bit intimidated to take the leap. Not so much for fear of needles, but more because I had zero knowledge of the practice. I finally took the plunge and made an appointment with Summer, and I am so glad I did.
Summer is fantastic at explaining what she is doing and why she is doing it… which is critical for me. I can tell she has a profound knowledge and curiosity in the practice; she really takes my well-​being to heart and it has shown in her treatment. Short-​term, I always leave her office relaxed and refreshed. Long-​term, it seems like her treatment is making some progress on a few of my longstanding issues.
Bottom line… With the hundreds of acupuncturists around Portland, I feel lucky to have found Summer!
p.s…for those north of the river, she mentioned she practices in Vancouver a day or two a week as well.

Summer treated me for pregnancy-​related symptoms before and after the births of both my little ones. The first pregnancy was normal, but the second was full of complications. Her treatments were a big part of my carrying my second (beautiful and healthy) baby to term. Summer is thoughtful, caring and an excellent listener. I can’t recommend her enough, especially for the mommas, and mommas-​to-​be out there.
