I am very excited to have a bibimbap place close to my house. I usually drive out to 82nd for Korean food. There is also a beer cart and a Nepali cart that are good in this little cart pod; so you can get a nice range of things.

Really really good gimbap. I’ve been here twice now and have ordered the kimchi and original rolls. You get two sides with each roll, and sadly they didn’t have the jalapeño peppers this time, but we got the sweet yams and japchae. The japchae was some of the best that I’ve had in a while — packed a lot of flavor for a side, and the yams were very yummy as well. The rolls are excellent — very flavorful, and their kimchi is very good. It’s very filling, and the price is really decent. Super stoked to have this place in the neighborhood!

I know my Korean food and I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed the chicken wings. It reminded me of the wings that I had in Korea when I had visited recently. The kimbaps were good as well. They had different flavors of kimbap. I recommend the kimchi one. Definitely going there again. They recently added new items on their menu and I can’t wait to try it.

I usually do not give star rating or review on Unilocal unless I have bad experience. However, I’m giving 5-star rating for Gimme Bap because I was completely satisfied by their food and service, which was way beyond than what I expected. While I was visiting Portland, I learned that food cart is booming in Portland area. My friends took me to Alberta street to browse around and found this place. We ordered Kimchi bap, Original bap, and chicken wings. They were actually very good(it was far better than the ones I tried at a fancy restaurant). You must try Kimchi bap for sure. What was really great was the service. The guy was friendly and prepared our foods just like home-made healthy food like. When I re-visit Portland, I will definitely go back to this place.

There was an epic wind and rainstorm when I was traveling through Portland. I was cold, hungry, wet and looking for a simple lunch or some kind of comfort food. I wouldn’t ordinarily think of Bap(rolls of rice, seaweed and some savory middle) on what was seemed like more of a «soup day,» or «curry day,» but my nose is astute at picking up the unmistakeable scent of sweet, savory Asian BBQ. And it led me to Gimme Bap. Situated in a little enclave of food trucks(or rather, trailers) and an outdoor seating area, Gimme Bap has a simple menu. The staff suggested I try the classic(beef), and they quickly served up a plate of warm rolls filled with deliciously seasoned Korean BBQ with a big smile. I was also treated to aside of oniony-tomatoey pickled cabbage, with just a hint of spice, and a mini pepper stuffed with this fantastically seasoned ground meat(my mouth still craves it just writing this review). So next time you find yourself on Alberta Street, pull up a bench and give Bap a try.
