Food Not Bombs is an amazing group of folks doing really important, creative work – and the Portland group does it all by bike! It would be great, though, if the info on when and where they’re serving were updated. I think it’s changed some.

Food Not Bombs is a volunteer organization that shares free vegetarian meals in protest to war and poverty. They collect surplus food that would otherwise go to waste from grocery stores, bakeries and markets, then prepare it into community meals which are served for free to anyone who is hungry. Meals are served up at various locations around the city on a weekly basis. Tuesdays, 5:30pm — North park blocks«near the elephant» Wednesdays, 5:30pm — Dawson Park — N. Williams and Stanton, near Emanuel Hospital Fridays, 5:30pm — Colonel Summers Park — SE17th& Taylor Saturdays, 5:30pm — Under the west end of the Burnside Bridge
