FedEx Office Print & Ship Center

I brought a USB drive in here with 10 jpegs. There was a blonde guy working (the manager) and he would not go through the USB drive to find the photo of my wife. He rudely goes, «No, I can’t go through your photos.» Then I said, «There’s only ten.» and he replied, «If the photo isn’t properly titled I can’t go through these.»
I walked about 15 minutes to the other FedEx store and they were so nice and helpful. It only took them 30 seconds to quickly scroll through the photos. Anytime I see that blonde manager idiot in public I want to punch him.

I’ve never had a great experience at this FedEx. Unfortunately, it’s a block from work so it’s kind of my only option. In addition to seemingly always being under staffed, the shipping counter employees are probably the most unpleasant employees I’ve dealt with at any FedEx office… ever.
Take for instance the young man who helped me earlier this week. I wanted to ship a phone to an ebay seller and I wanted to make sure it was safe. I waited a solid 5 minutes (on my break) for the person. Nobody in the printing area acknowledged any of the people waiting, and mind you it’s about 100 degrees in this FedEx with no ventilation.
I did say I wanted the electronics box, but I just wanted to get a quote. The electronics box was $ 5 dollars and I was okay with that. The associate started packaging my thing… tapes it up and what not, and proceeds to tell me that it’s going to be $ 9.99 for a quality packing guarantee. Whaaa? Had I known he was going to charge me an extra $ 5 for TAPING my damn box, I probably would’ve just done it myself, or at least considered allowing him to do it… but instead he just tacked it on at the end. This is just beyond lame. The guy made me feel like a moron because I wanted to ship something ground. Heavens forbid I choose the cheaper route.

Horrible… just horrible. I think the entire staff is on quaaludes. I know their jealous of me, but why… why? The over all lack of customer services frightens me to the preperation of expelling vomit from my oral cavity and then I’m asked to complete a survey. The printers are reluctantly able to help from «snorting the ludes» off the printer machines so all my prints come out grainy. I think their fukein with my shit dog! Any who, it’s Halloween!!!

Came in looking for some basic office supplies and had a mixed bag of results.
They had a whole shelf of varying sizes of 3-​ring binders. Awesome.
They had several choices of different types of legal pads. Great.
And they didn’t have regular notebook paper.
Wait, what? How does a store with «office» in its name not sell regular notebook paper? I wasn’t even being picky (college or wide rule would have been just fine).
If by some incredibly strange turn of events, I became manager of this store, the first thing I would do is take half of the 3-​ring binders of the shelves and replace them with paper. And fix all of the copiers.

This is an odd little store as other reviews have already said. The doors and the shape of the place are a bit confusing.
It’s a FexEx Office so everything is over priced. That is kind of a given. The people are nice enough. I always get the feeling that when I come here they are at least a bit relieved of their own unending boredom. I’m always glad to help!
My main irritation with this place is the hours. My small town FedEx was open ²⁴⁄₇ and now I’m in Downtown Portland and can’t send a package or fax when it’s convenient for me. What is that about?
The hours listed on Unilocal are wrong. So I am going to do an edit.
They open at 10am on Saturday.
Not bad. Not great. It’s FedEx, deal with them if you have to.

I used there self service photo printing machine at this location. Prints turned horrible. 10 dollars later I have 24 prints that are going in the garbage. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

I have had several bad experiences here, the staff is not friendly or helpful. After several very disappointing experiences, I will not return to this location.

The store itself is a bit wacky, then again what isn’t in Portland?

I rarely write bad reviews on Unilocal,but this place seriously bums me out.
First, I’m originally from a small city in the south. The FedEx Office store there was open ²⁴⁄₇ – and it was WAY smaller than Portland. Now I live in downtown Portland and this place closes at like 7PM or something, which is silly.
The last time I went, I had some seriously messed up experience where their machine would not read my properly FAT32-​formatted USB drive, only to have the guy in the store try to lecture me about «Well Windows doesn’t always recognize Mac files…». Yes, I know it’s imperative that the USB drive is formatted to be the same filesystem as the device reading it, but it *was* and the file in question was a PDF. In the end, I had to actually go home, bring my laptop back to the store, and use their «store USB drive» which felt like I was giving my laptop an STD.
The three times I went before that, each time at least one of the machines was either broken or the credit/​debit card reader was out of service/​offline.
The pricing for faxing there is ludicrous. It’s like $ 2 or something wacky for the first page. Mind you, faxing is literally just transmitting data over a landline phone, nothing fancy. Even long distance domestic, that’s like a 10 second phone call and should be at most 20 cents for 1 page. $ 2 is serious price-​gouging.

This FedEx Kinko’s has saved my butt on several occasions due to their extended Express drop-​off hours (not as late as the Alder location, but it’s easier to get to). One drawback to the the location is that there is pretty much NO parking (2 spots that are always full), but I usually have someone from work drop me off since I ride the bus home. The people here are friendly and it’s a really clean location.

Never. Again. Better choices nearby — no excuse for returning here.
To the credit of other staff, it’s one assistant manager I’ve worked with the most, who is awful. Awful awful.
It’s not even worth my time to explain the consistently horrid service I’ve experienced and witnessed here. I have high standards for service, but as a former Kinko’s Assistant Manager myself, I can say it’s not just that his service doesn’t meet my standards — it’s so bad it’s what the company used to fire people for.
But, it’s often so empty there isn’t anyone around to notice, I guess.
He’s not only refused basic service to me, I’ve heard him engage in a long, drawn out verbal battle with a customer over 35 cents.
The copiers have also tended to be out of paper in the late afternoons; these things hold several reams — there is NO excuse for completely empty paper trays.
Finally, the location itself has such poor ventilation, I’ve had to leave because I get short of breath, and I don’t even have asthma or severe allergies. I’m used to being around ozone-​emitting copiers, and paper dust. This space seems like it hasn’t had fresh air since the 70s. I’ve never been in any copy shop — not even one with toxic offset printing — that is so negligent of environmental toxicity concerns.
