Fat Subs, you’d get five stars from me for having big yummy sandwiches at a reasonable price (unlike just about every other place in this town; since when did it become ok to charge ten bucks for a mediocre sandwich with no sides Portland?), but you ARE NEVER FUCKING OPEN! Maybe you just want to cater to the lunch crowd. Then you’ll miss out on feeding all the locals who are at work during your very limited hours. Lot’s of food has failed in this neighborhood, and believe me, we want good food. You’ve got the good food. Now how about making it more available.

Had the pulled pork during my lunch today. Fresh, tender, flavorful, not overly salty, not too much slaw – all on a delicious baguette?!
Couldn’t wait to dig into my leftovers so I delayed my drive home just to eat it. This meant I was in worse traffic than I needed to be and yet it was all worth it!
Looking forward to another sub next week!

I really wanted to love this place. I stopped and ordered a pastrami sandwich and it was, by far, the greasiest thing I’ve ever tried to eat.
Maybe I’ve never had authentic pastrami but I don’t think it should be so greasy that there was a pool of grease in the bottom of the sandwich wrap and the bread was so soaked in grease it was turning to mush.
The dude seems real nice, if I had tried something else I probably would’ve liked it as I really like sandwiches. But the greasy gut bomb I got this time probably will keep me away from the stand.

I found this place while working in the neighborhood. I ended up eating there five days in a row! My co worker, who only eats out once per week, ended up eating from the cart twice. Delicious sandwiches. Fair price. House made meats. Delicious! Nice guy runs the place. Showed me the smoker and they take great pride in their meats. Dum dum and pickle included in lunch. But 5 get one free. I look forward to being in the neighborhood during lunch again. Thanks guys! House made soups but I didn’t try them; the weather was too nice. Next time.
