Thank you Failing St Bridge for being there when I needed to get to the other side of I-5. I use you nearly everyday and without you, access to the Max-line would be slightly more inconvenient. Sure I could walk down to the Albina Stop but that’s a scary sketch of a walk late at night. You provide me light and a loud yet moderately lit perspective of being in No Po. I can even ride my bike over you with ease. On the east side of the bridge before you cross over there is a snake-dragon beast guarding the entrance. In the summer he hides amongst the wildflowers. It’s the details about Portland that have suckered me into falling in love with this city and this bridge is just another little part of it for me. It’s not the most attractive bridge, but not everything has to be, beside it’s beauty lies in its practicality.
