This little shop exists because someone in the glasses biz obtained a whole lot of frames, some of which had been in storeage for decades! This is why you can get a pair of new frames, with lenses for cheap (That’s the sale they’re having at the moment, not sure how long it will last). The staff is very friendly and will help guide you to the frame that is right for you!

You better believe I was hopeful about this place. I even liked how there was a younger guy with gaged ears in an antique-​style shop. Right away I thought «perfect, I know this guy is gonna be savvy,» and he’d know how to get the job done.
Now, I would not even have stepped up for a review if he said «you know, we don’t typically do adjustments where one of the frames’ temples have lost its outward-​flex spring.» I respect the limitations businesses place on their operations. Here, I got a combination of «I’m an intellectual» pretense and suggestion that I just «buy a pair of their great frames.“This kid both proclaimed that he «knows what he’s doing» and that he doesn’t touch glasses with broken springs.
Mind you, the glasses were fine– one temple just bent outward a little. I didn’t even want a repair… only a standard adjustment to make them look straight on my face. I was ready to pay, even though most places have gladly done this for me for free.
I guess since my glasses weren’t good enough for this employee’s «skill,» Erstwhile is only good enough for this star.
