We’ve used them for years and are always happy! They’ve even taken time to consult with us during non tax season times whenever we had tax questions about potential life or investment opportunities. Very knowledgeable and always polite and helpful.

Taxes are complicated. How complicated, you ask? Well, I have a Juris Doctor degree and aced my tax class at law school (and graduated Cum Laude, thank you very much) and I still find them confusing, confounding, and cumbersome. Having a spouse that’s self employed, dealing the snake-​pit of tax code surrounding even a few stock options, owning a property, paying employees, and, well, it’s a fucking mess. It’s no wonder a large segment of Americans bemoan the tax code. If you have anything more than a simple W-​2 and maybe a home mortgage, shit can get real complicated, real fast.
Enter Epstein Group. These guys know what they’re doing. No, it’s not cheap to get your taxes done here. The more complicated, the more it will cost. But as with any experienced professional, you’re not just paying for mechanics, you’re paying for knowledge. In fact, after our initial sit-​down with Victor, he dropped a tip on me that will end up saving us more in taxes in one year than his fees will amount to in maybe three years of doing our taxes. So yeah, that kind of paid for itself. And no, I’m not sharing my tip. Sorry. There’s only so much about our messed up tax situation that I’m going to reveal in a Unilocal review.
I could probably do our taxes in Turbo Tax, even though they’re complicated. However when it comes to planning — when to pay things, what tax credits are available, how to structure our lives, etc, this service is invaluable. Plus anyone who has ever dealt with self employment tax knows how much of a serious fucking headache that is.
When entering the thick wicket of the US Tax Code, it’s good to have a guide. After a year of working with Epstein, I feel like I have a solid one.
[And no, I’m not in the 1%. Still paying off that mountain of law school debt, in fact. Why can’t that be tax deductible?!]

I am not a big Unilocal reviewer but there are a few very quality folks in professional network that I I would give a nod to. I have been with Epstein Group since starting my consulting practice. Great service, very knowledgable, & reasonable price (I have used 2 other CPA firms over the years). I feel that the group takes pride in offering customized thinking rather than simply plugging numbers into formulas. Their commitment to electronic data and paperless files is a bonus.

They did my taxes last year for the first time and they were wonderful. Me and my partner had a complicated tax year and they were fast, friendly, knowledgable, worth every penny. I am going back this year. I would highly recommend them.
