Hands down the most knowledgable, respectful, and kind team of bodyworkers I’ve ever received care from. Carrie has an amazing wealth of knowledge about physiology and injury, and a creative, dynamic approach towards treating and preventing. Courtney is intuitive, attentive, and passionate about the work she does. What a great practice! I’ve been going to Elemental Medicine for some time now, and I’ve left happy each time!

My husband and I have visited both Carrie and Courtney for several years now. We always leave every session feeling better than when we came in. My husband especially had constant issues with pulling his calf muscle and he tried many different things to solve the problem. the only solution that ever worked was to receive acupuncture and therapy from Courtney and Carrie. They are both very nice and helpful and always thinking holistically about all different ways to help us be as healthy as possible. Thanks!

I have been going to see Carrie for a while now. I had a car accident in 2009 and have had continuous pain since then. From multiple doctors and physical therapists and chiropractors, she has been the only one who has helped the pain go away. Additionally, she is very pleasant, helpful, and professional. I enjoy my visits and go in for regular«tune ups.»

Wow, this is the best chiropractor/acupuncturist team in all of Portland. I was in a bad car accident and wish that I had known about Carrie and Courtney sooner. Carrie is very detail oriented, and really focused in on the areas I was having a lot of pain in. I felt ten times as much relief from only a few visits with Carrie as I did in four months of care with another Chiro. Courtney is a wizard of the Acupuncture. She really helped me manage the pain I was experiencing post accident. I was always able to fall asleep on her table and woke up feeling like a new person. These two are fantastic, and the best in their fields.

What a find! If you have any back or skeletal-related pain, get yourself to Carrie. I spent nearly 3 months mostly in bed, doped up on meds prescribed by doctors and pain specialists who did nothing to address the root of my pain. It resolved itself with time, but a couple months later, it came back. I refused to return to the same frustrating round of western medical practitioners, and after looking up chiropractors on Unilocal,I went with Carrie. She correctly diagnosed me with an SI joint dysfunction(after everyone else had told me it was sciatica). After less than a week and only 2 treatments, I felt not one iota of pain!(Be aware, if you haven’t had chiropractic before, it can take a few days after treatment to feel the benefits — inflammation causes pain, and it can take a couple days for that die down.) As Carrie will tell you, she’s not a «bone cracker,» and you may have trouble believing such gentle adjustments could be effective — but they are! Another plus, Carrie doesn’t try to sell you on a «maintenance plan» like many other practitioners. However, I’m thinking of asking her to see for some preventive measures. I HIGHLY recommend her services and will return with any back or joint issues.

I went in to see Dr. Ebling for the first time when my right hip began to hurt for no reason(9 on a 10 point pain scale). Dr. Ebling took the time to listen to my pain woes and explained in detail each adjustment she was making and why she was making them. She knew right away what was causing my problem and gave me tips for long term fixes so the problem would correct & not come back. Dr. Ebling is also a licensed massage therapist which really is a great combo as a chiropractor. I feel great & I will definitely be back when I get out of line again!!!

I have a long history of back injuries, hip problems, and pelvic floor issues. I really don’t like finding new doctors/chiropractors/physical therapists/massage therapists, because I hate explaining all my woes to a new person! However(after over a year in Portland), I tweaked my back really badly, and after gimping around for a week, I decided to break down and seek someone new. The first place I went was Unilocal,of course! Elemental Medicine had both a Unilocal deal and online scheduling. Awesome! Also, Dr. Ebling is a chiropractor, massage therapist, and she does pelvic floor work. Obviously this lady knows how everything connects and how to make it feel better. Their office is small and inviting. Dr. Ebling’s business partner offered me water/tea and was very friendly. Dr. Ebling and I spent a few minutes talking things over, and she basically had all my problems pegged before my body touched the massage table. That is a good, good sign! I’ve had physical therapy sessions that were far more expensive and much less useful than the hour I spent at Elemental Medicine. She even took extra time with me at the end to demonstrate stretches relevant to my issues. This is a delightful woman-owned business, and a great addition to the neighborhood. Please check them out!

I first met Dr. Ebling at Columbia Integrated Care, The University of Western States training clinic for chiropractic and massage. I had booked a massage with the Instructor/Supervisor for the Massage Program and Dr. Ebling had been called in to cover for her. This particular massage changed my life. First, due to the fact that I believe this was my first massage by a truly qualified individual and secondly, I felt inclined to immediately called the University to sign up for their Massage Program. That was in 2009, I now have my own practice and love the fact that I can serve others through healing touch. Something I learned in no small part due to Dr. Ebling’s caring and professional treatment of me as my LMT, Chiropractor and let’s not forget… teacher. Her knowledge in Kinesiology is amazing and has been a gift to me both as a patient and professional. I have relocated to Olympia but still travel to Portland to see MY Chiropractor and now… Acupuncturist. Courtney is the only LAc that has brought me to a state of true relaxation… not an easy feat I can assure you. 2009 brought life altering changes to my life in addition to my career change. Carrie has always treated me holistically, taking all my needs into consideration. That type of care is invaluable and not easy to find. I found it with Dr. Ebling and now at Elemental Medicine with the added bonus of Courtney Giordano. I cannot recommend these women highly enough. They have been a gift to my health and spirit. I feel the healing begin when I walk in the door. As will you, I have no doubt.

A friend recommended Dr. Ebling(Carrie) for chiropractic work — and I am so glad she did! Dr. Ebling is pure awesomeness. One Friday morning I gracefully tripped over my own feet and bit it on the sidewalk; using my elbows and chin to crash land. I’m no stranger to neck and back problems after a car accident a few years back, and knew right away this meant I needed chiropractic help. I called for an appointment, mentioned what had happened, and Dr. Ebling re-arranged her schedule to get me in a few hours later. I’m pretty sure she gave up her lunch break to get me in before the weekend. Not all doctors would do that for a new patient, and I cannot express how grateful I was! I like Dr. Ebling’s comprehensive approach to assessing what needs to be done in your adjustment. I’ve seen a lot of chiropractors, and she knows the human body and what she’s doing incredibly well. My treatments were exactly what I needed; I went back once the next week and once 6 weeks later, I’m doing great! If you’re looking for a chirporactor, a few highlights that I’d like to share: 1. I don’t feel like you’ll ever be asked to come in for adjustments that you don’t need. 2. No one is selling you supplements and other ‘whole health related’ treatments… which I love. I do not care for chiropractors I’ve encountered elsewhere who push supplements and want to interfere with the work I’m doing with my natropath. 3. Dr. Ebling will file insurance claims on your behalf, even when she is an out of network provider for your plan. As a patient, that is so helpful!

I went to see Courtney yesterday for some acupuncture and Chinese medicine treatment for various chronic conditions that I have been working through. I’m a really sensitive person and normally a little anxious around needles and was really nervous to try cupping. Courtney was incredibly gentle and so easy to talk to … I ended up telling her about issues I’m normally reluctant to talk about! Her treatment is so gentle, I didn’t feel the needles at all. She made me feel very relaxed and comfortable. My energy levels are better, I slept beautifully and feel like a million bucks. I will definitely be back!
