Dread Rock Salon

My daughter had her dreads tightened and cleaned up. This was our first time at Dread Rock. The salon was easy to find. I loved the atmosphere and their décor. We were there for almost 5 hours. They have a nice comfy couch to sit on and plenty of magazines to browse through. Our stylist was Kenzie. She was very nice, patient :-), and professional. We are glad we found Dread Rock Salon and look forward to our next visit. I highly recommend this salon to anyone. Thank you Kenzie!

I had my dreads formed about a month ago by Magdalene and I could not be happier! Not only was she super professional & super helpful but amazingly efficient and made me feel so comfortable! I will be scheduling another appointment with her for more dread maintenance very soon

I would not reccomend this place for anyone who wants a stable and honest price for dreadlocks. I went in for a consultation and during that time Magdalyn and Debbie quietly and secretly went into the back to come up with their own idea of what the price was to do my dreads the way that I had visioned. I got a few different quotes. The first was from Debbie and started at $ 500 and went up from there after every hour additionally. Then her daughter quoted me at $ 500 flat for however long it took even including tightening the tips of the dreads. I was very happy with that price and then decided to start the process today. I went in this morning and after meeting with Magdalyn to begin the process I showed her a picture of sizing and style that I felt would look the best on my hair and what I’ve been hoping for, she immediately stated that the price would drammaticaly increase because this was not what she had planned to do. I cannot comment on the quality of work becuase I did not follow through with the appointment today, however I can say that the feeling and atmosphere of this particular dreadlock salon was all about money and not about helping people start their dreadlock journey.

Dreadrock salon was awesomely fantastic! They were fast but did a A+ job! My dreads rocked with color and washed super clean. I give this place a five star for there thorough job on my dreads. Ill keep coming back and not to mention they make dread falls. If you need work done on your dreads this is the place to come. The ladies are kind and sweet.

I really enjoyed being at dread rock salon! Debbie, the owner, was competent and kind and clearly knew what she was doing. The salon itself is a very nice atmosphere and I enjoyed being there. I would definitely recommend coming here! The only thing is that it is kind of spendy, but dread locks in general are pretty expensive, and this salon seemed very reasonable, especially considering the time and effort required for nice dreads. Overall, it was a great place!

I am giving this salon a five star because I received such wonderful service from Debbie the owner. Debbie gave me a new look that I absolutely love! She first gave my long curly hair one of the best cuts that I have ever had! The cut made my curls come back to life and looked full and thick again. I just absolutely love it!
Secondly, she put in four awesome dreads that I adore so much! I have been wanting dreads for years and finally had the guts to do it. I just love them and have gotten lots of compliments. Debbie, is one of the best hair artists that I have ever been to. She listened to what I wanted and was very helpful and informative. She is also a very good conversationalist. She was very easy to talk to and I had a wonderful time getting to know her.
I had such a wonderful experience at Dread Rock Salon! I would recommend it to anybody. They do just about anything you can think of. If you just want a simple hair cut, they can do it. If you want something different and edgy they most DEFIANTLY can do it! Thanks so much Debbie! You Rock!

Terresa truly rocks.
I called at about 4:30 pm wanting to satiate a spur of the moment urge to shave the sides of my head. The owner got in touch with Terresa who was on that night and she had me in by 6pm!
I was the only one in the salon and was greated by Terresa with so much warmth and vitality! She mirrored my own excitement and enthusiasm for this big hair change and was like a total cheerleader while shaving inches of hair from my head during a last minute appointment.
I loved her. I loved them for being so chill about last minute appointments for first time clients and had just the positive, life-​affirming kinda awesome experience you wish would happen everywhere with every stranger, and certainly at every salon.

Debbie is the best! Not only did she give me new dreads, but she did them in a way that they weren’t pulling on my scalp or make me want to cry. She also explained the process should I want to «mature» them with a complete entire care and feeding of my dreads.
Her salon is clean, cute, and she and her staff and super, duper nice and friendly.
Should I decide to keep my dreads, I will continue to come back here. Hell, I’ll come back here anyway to get my hair did b/​c everyone is so nice!

Comfortable, chill environment. Debbie (the owner) seems to know what I want even when I don’t! I give her a general idea and don’t even need to say any more. Dreadlocks are the obvious focus here, but I’ve never met anyone as good at shorter-​hair, alternative male hairstyles. If you’re into having a unique hairstyle this is the place. I’ve never seen a customer dissatisfied in this salon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I’m not sure where to begin. Let me FIRST start off by saying that I SO ENJOYED my time at Dread Rock Salon.
The salon: Funky, clean and cozy. Professional and stylish without being stuffy. They offer a variety of services from cuts and colors to synthetic and human hair extensions and locks.
The people: Debbie (owner) has been doing hair for years and it shows. Her experience is TOP OF THE LINE. I got a full set of human hair permanent dread extensions and I LOVE THEM!!. She listened to my thoughts and ideas and created it perfectly. She was professional, fun and efficient. I very much enjoyed being in her space!
Debbie’s assistant (Magdalene) was extremely helpful, professional and fun, too!
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this salon.

Super friendly, locally owned, and funky. Dreadrock truly rocks your dreads. I came in after starting my own dreads and needed a tune up, my experience was so amazing that i will only come here from this point on for maintenance. I had a great time, my dreads look awesome, and i felt incredibly comfortable throughout the process. Im incredibly grateful that i stumbled into this shop.
