Item: Corndog Price:$ 5 Cleanliness: ***** Presentation:***** Condiments: Beaver brand sauces, lots, varied. Standard mustard, ketchup. Fry: Thin, non greasy, lacking flavor/bland. Dog: All beef, firm skinned, firm interior, bland. Food temp: Straight from cook’s hand to my mouth… luke warm. All in all a very disappointing corn dog experience. I’ve loved hand dipped dogs ever since we used to get them 5 for a dollar at the corndog stand in a Beaverton grocery store parking lot in 1975. I won’t revisit this one. My first trip to Cartlandia… thumbs down from this Portland native. Deb.you’ve got to step it up a notch if you wanna compete in the Portland dog game. Others are doing it much better.

I wandered over to this cart this afternoon because Cheesesteak Nirvana was unexpectedly closed; being in the mood for something sinfully unhealthy, this fit the bill. I liked the simple menu with nice, big photos so you knew exactly what you were getting. The girl behind the counter was both friendly and cute, that’s always a plus! I had a Nach-Yo Dog and a Coney Dog. The Nach-Yo was spicy, salty, and delicious with nacho cheese, onions, and jalapenos; the Coney was good enough, but honestly a little bland — I wasn’t super impressed with the chili. The dogs themselves and the buns were exceptionally tasty in both cases. I would order the Nach-Yo again but probably not the Coney. All-in-all a pretty solid cart, I will definitely go back to try some of their other options.

I have to say… the coney dog was a little surprising to me. I am used to the coney dogs that have sauce OVER the dog, not UNDER it. The sauce could have had more flavor and it could have been a little more heated up. I will definitely be back to see what else I can try. I do love hot dogs so even though the coney dog wasn’t what I have been used to in the past(places like Annie’s AKA Roake’s), I’m willing to try something with a little more«kick» to it. On a side note– the guy working the cart gave EXCELLENT customer service and was very friendly(I tipped him).

it’s a hot dog cart but very little of it felt special. dogs costs between $ 4.75-$ 5.75. they have several choices and several condiments. having Costco spoil me with their dogs i have high expectations. These are good, not much better and substantially more expensive.

This hot dog was amazing! The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was the coney dog chili was a little bland. But the flavor of the hot dog itself more than makes up for that. I am excited to go back and try the corn dog because if the dog that comes on a bun is what they batter and fry, then sign me up!

Corn dogs here are nothing short of the word fantastic! I have never in my life ever had a corn dog like this. Crunchy on the outside with a nice fluffy interior and the best part is the hot dog that comes with it. I don’t know what it was but I will say with the Jalapeño mustard that is offered there it doesn’t get any better. Deb has done an excellent job since the last time I came here to update her menu and also give you visuals to look at. Her hot dog offerings are a cornucopia of flavor adventures with many different options and condiments available to you. When you get a chance to visit Cartlandia, this is the must stop location for hot dogs! Come down and try one and I guarantee you that you will not be let down! Happy Eating Everyone!

Deb’s offers up to nine different types of wieners, from the traditional all-beef wiener(one of their top sellers) to an elk dog or buffalo dog(yeah, don’t see that often, do ya?). Deb’s gets all their wieners and buns from a local vendor. I wanted a bit of spice to my meal this time, so I ordered a Louisiana Hot Link hot dog($ 5.25). Deb’s offers many standard condiments. I topped my dog with relish, jalapenos, and Coney style mustard. Overall, I felt like I picked the proper hot dog here for my taste buds. I really liked the kick of the Louisiana Hot Link, and adding extra jalapenos to the dog really made me one happy panda. The bite of the Coney mustard and the tang of the relish rounded out a nice snack for me. Unfortunately, I found it hard to cleanly bite through the hot link’s casing. Also, I would have liked the bun toasted a bit(or a bit more if it really was toasted). In my book, eliminating those two flaws would make a great hot dog. Finally, it just didn’t feel like this hot dog(or very many hot dogs, anyway) was worth $ 5.25(dang economy…). A pretty good hot dog, especially with a nice choice of condiments, but still some room for improvement.

A hot dog on a plain bun. You add the condiments which are just the old standbys — ketchup, a few kinds of mustard, pickle relish from squeeze bottle — nothing special, nothing home-made. I must say that Costco’s hot dogs are just as good if not better…
