We had borrowed our Parents Bigfoot 15′ hard shelled trailer for spring break 15. Which gave us the itch to buy a new trailer. So on the way home from camping we stopped at Camping World Eugene and looked at a few trailers. We were stuck on the grey wolf bunk bed Model. The idea was set into motion.
We came home and immediately sold our Starcraft tent trailer that we bought from Curtis Trailer 10 years early. Over the next month and a half We visted 4 other RV dealers in the Portland metro area looking for the perfect floor model and price that fit our family.
After an exhausting search We came back to Curtis to see what they had. We walked into the sales shack and was hooked up with Dustin. We told him what we were looking for weight and length wise. He took us out and showed us option after option. He never seemed to tire of our very particular wants. He just kept on showing us.
He showed us Passport Ultra Light and we loved it! It was a perfect floor plan, the finishes were very nice, it was made in Oregon. We were sold.
Dustin worked with us through the financing process which was quick and easy. We wrapped it up and pulled out with a trailer. It has been one year since we bought our trailer and I can say that we are so happy we stopped into Curtis trailers and met Dustin.

They are the worst run service department I have ever used. The should put a sign over the door of their entry that reads «Incompetence». Everything thing they have fixed has broken. Water leak is still leaking and their caulking job looks like a four year old did it. When you call them to ask about a part they ordered 3 times and it was wrong every time. They put you on hold and another guy just as dumb answers and starts the whole process over until eventually someone puts you on hold to transfer you to the original guy and accidentally hangs up on you. I sure hope the manager reads this then fires his crew and quits his job to go work for the Democratic convention for Bernie Sanders because that is the only way to translate how incompetent you and your staff is. Good luck. I’m never buying a trailer or coming back to this place again.

I bought a 17 foot Clipper bunkhouse from Curtis Trailers a month ago. I was a little surprised at first that I couldn’t just come in, pay for the trailer with a cashier’s check, and then drive off with it. They said that they needed at least 3 days to inspect it and get it ready. I was planning on going camping in a few weeks, so I figured I had plenty of time. I needed to schedule a day off from work to be able to pick it up, so I paid for the trailer with a cashier’s check and set a date to pick it up a week and a half later. I figured that would give them plenty of time to complete their pre-​sale inspection and fix any problems. I sat down with the sales person and was given a stack of papers to sign after a quick walk through of the trailer I was buying. He said that they would fix any issues and they just need these papers on file.
When I got back home, I looked at my copies of all of the paperwork and was surprised to see that I had been asked to sign (and stupidly signed) a document saying that I had done a complete walk through of the trailer, that no problems were found with it whatsoever, and that I had even been given a chance for a test drive of the vehicle. What? We barely spent 5 minutes in the vehicle and couldn’t even look at the outside as it was jammed in between multiple other trailers. While I’m normally very reticent to just sign whatever was put in front of me without fully reading it, I felt like these guys were pretty straight up, so I signed the documents since the salesperson said it was just something they needed on file and that we would go over everything when I picked it up. While it might hold up in court since I just accepted the salesperson’s word for it and signed, it doesn’t build much trust when I find out what happened later.
In any case, when I showed up a week and a half later, I was told that they were still sealing cracks in the sealant around the trailer. What? It was bought and paid for a week and a half ago and they are still doing basic pre-​sale repairs? Bad omen. When I walked around it, too, I saw that there were two dents in the trim. They said they would order them and fix them in 5 — 6 weeks.
I wait around for 30 minutes or so while they wrap that up. I ask the salesperson about why he had me sign a document saying that there were no problems with the trailer when I barely even looked at it. He said it was just a formality and that they would take care of any problems. Again, doesn’t build much trust with the company. He assured me that everything was gone through twice and that it would be fine. I specifically asked about if they tested the exterior shower and such as I read other reviews saying that people discovered poor workmanship with those areas in particular. He said everything was tested twice and that it would be fine. We could test it again, but I would need to de-​winterize the trailer. Not wanting to have it de-​winterized for the two weeks until my first week long camping trip, I took his word for it. Bad idea.
Once I drove it home, I opened it up and found water all over the floors. Looking closely, it looked like it may have been water coming through the furnace. Probably just from sitting in the lot so long and then being driven, I guessed. I also found other minor issues like missing trim and exposed staples near the back bunks. Not a big deal, but shouldn’t be indicative of a trailer that has been thoroughly inspected twice.
Two weeks later I’m on my first trip with the trailer only to discover that the cold water line in the trailer did not work at all. Camping by myself with three small kids, I frantically tried calling the dealership 4 times to figure out if there was some valve or something that was turned off. I am a licensed general contractor, so am very familiar with plumbing issues (and Pex piping), but figured there might be a hidden valve or something. After dismantling every possible area, it was clear to me (and them over the phone) that there was a clogged line that was preventing cold water from flowing properly to most of the trailer including the kitchen sink, shower and toilet. Not a great sign for a trailer that has been inspected thoroughly twice.
I should also state that because there was no cold water, my young children kept burning their hands in the sink and my 5 year old pinched his fingers in the bed while it was raised so that I could trace the cold water Pex piping. Not a great way to start my first camping trip with this trailer.
The people at Curtis Trailers said they will fix the issue (which I have no doubt). That does nothing for me when I am hundreds of miles away on a week long camping trip with 3 young kids and no cold water. The workmanship was very poor with the water pump barely attached, metal shavings and wiring all loose, and misaligned covers.
I will revisit my rating later for better or worse once the problems have been addressed.

I could not have been happier with the service department at Curtis Trailers. I had repair work done on a Class C RV. The Service Manager even sent a staff member to the warehouse to get a needed (not common) part while I waited. Everything done in about an hour and I was on my way. They were able to schedule me in with just a couple days advance notice as I had a big weekend planned. A clean, friendly, and honest place. I will go back!

I knew what kind of floor plan I wanted and had looked everywhere an was becoming frustrated with my search, then I went to Cutis. No one harassed me as I went from trailer to trailer, then I found it. Bam! Mike Phillips took great care of me and had me finaced and driving out with it the next weekend. Could not be more pleased with transaction. Thanks to Rod for helping me with towing system. Aces guys!

I did not buy my new TT at Curtis but had some warranty work done there. I’ve had my TT for a year and has been «sitting» in their lot for a total of 3 months «waiting» on parts. Twice, after about 3 weeks, I the customer, am the one that had to call the manufacturer of the TT and the manufacturer of the awning to get the parts needed. After calling those manufacturers, the parts were there within 5 days. Even right now my TT is «sitting» on their lot «waiting», yet again, for another part for the awning that they broke while in their care and I use the word «care» loosely. I politely complained. No apologies, saying it’s the manufacturers fault. If I can call and get results, why can’t they? Something is very wrong in their ordering parts department. When my warranty is up, I will never, NEVER take my TT to Curtis to be repaired. Could it be they are punishing me for not buying the TT from them?

So i posted a review on Curtis Trailers saying that they were terrible. I want to retract my statement. They came out to my house and fixed my trailer. It was greatly appreciated that they came out and took care of the work that was wrong. Thank you very much service department and manager at Curtis Trailers.

Well, I tried shopping with you but your staff were all super rude and nobody helped me. I got stared at by every single person working and not one person offered to help me. I begrudgingly bought something from that you that I needed that ended up not even working. When I brought it back I was again stared at by multiple employees and not asked if needed help until I finally walked to the counter and interrupted a sale. As soon as I finally end up getting my money back from you I’ll be taking it elsewhere. Your terrible service, and rude employees will not ever have me coming back.

I am EXTREMELY happy with the service provided by Curtis Trailers! My wife and I just bought our first travel trailer from Brett and the experience could not have been better. The simple, no-​haggle process is a treat. More dealers should be like this. The information presented throughout the purchasing process was simple, easy to understand, and fully explained. Brett provided detailed information about what we should expect with our financing, as well as with the trailer itself. We went to another dealer before coming here and the knowledge gap between the previous dealer and Brett was extremely noticeable. Brett knows his stuff and is happy to answer any questions you might have.
What I liked most: Selection of available trailers, no-​haggle process, customer service, best prices around, salesperson knowledge.

We went back to Curtis after calling first. Much better experience. Leaning away from the trailer we thought we were going to buy and towards a trailer at Curtis by a different mfg. Much happier after this visit.

We were looking for a high end 5TH wheel trailer and knew the exact model number we wanted. We saw exactly what we wanted at Curtis. Their price was very high and they made us an offer based upon our trade in. We had driven 200 miles to see the trailer but went home knowing their offer was way too high. The next day we made a counter offer and they raised their offer by $ 4,0000??? What a waste of time and money going to see these people. We received another offer from an Oregon dealer $ 7,000. cheaper than Curtis. Be sure you do your homework before buying from Curtis or you will pay way too much.

We met the General Mgr. at the RV show and he later called to let us know they had a pre-​owned trailer similar to the one we liked at the RV show. We are seriously looking for a pre-​owned trailer, spent a lot of time on the lot, and checked them all out. Unfortunately, it wasn’t what we wanted, however, there were others that interested us.
A few weeks later, we called the dealership and spoke with a salesman named Larry. We asked him if there were any new «pre-​owned» trailers on their lot. Larry told us that there were quite a few trade-​ins of pre-​owned units that arrived just the week before and said «to come on down and check them out.
We live in Washington, North of Vancouver, however, we were willing and excited, to drive to Portland if they had recent arrivals. We got there, my husband asked for Larry, but «Larry» told the front office gal that he did not remember talking to us ½ hour previous to our arrival. We were told that another salesman named Larry could help us. We never met the second Larry, someone else met us on the used lot, but there were NO new rigs in the lot from our previous visit a couple of weeks before! In addition, the ones that were there were locked, which, as we were told, were sold. So, not one new trailer to see.
Due to the customer service we received from the GM, we looked forward to working with the dealership. However, and unfortunately, this turned out to be a big waste of our time!

Everyone at this location has been very helpful, genuinely nice, and some of the best customer service I’ve experienced. We were wowed by our salesman, Dustin Gratreak, who went above and beyond to help us find the trailer that we really wanted. He is very knowledgeable about the products and experienced within the industry which made our research simple. I highly encourage you to ask for and make an appointment with Dustin

Curtis was accommodating to my special needs. Due to my line of work, I don’t have time to bring my camper in and wait. So even though the service department informed me that there’s not enough room for me to leave my camper there, they reluctantly allowed me to leave it there for a week. I was grateful for that because another RV dealer flat out turned down my request.
The problems I brought it in for (fridge and outside wiring) got fixed beyond my expectations. My only gripe is the terrain. I was uncomfortable with the steep upgrade to the drop area and the area I had to set the camper down. It’s never a good idea to set a truck camper down on an uneven surface and it made getting the camper back on right extremely difficult.
So while I’m happy with Curtis’s service department, I will only go back as long as I don’t have to set the camper down. It’s just too bad the place is built on a hill.

The only thing I can hope is that the service after the sale will be as good as it was leading up to the sale. Brandon was our sales associate and Trevor was beyond helpful when we had a question on Brandon day off. We bought a brand new Passport Ultra light 2400 bhw yesterday and to my understanding it is one of the best selling trailers in the country. We got the best price in the entire country for this trailer. The next best price I found was 4000 more and on the east coast. So far I am overly satisfied and look forward to a long relationship with Curtis Trailer. The sales staff is very helpful and you don’t get pressured by a commissions hungry sales associate as soon as you step out of your vehicle.

Curtis trailers saved us on a big 2 week trip with our 5^th wheel. We traveled from Huntington Beach, CA to Oregon and suffered a water pump failure with our trailer, which was still under warranty. I called on the phone from the road and Dan Farnsworth set us up for service at 1:00, we were completely repaired and back on the road before 2:00. The place was hopping busy but they sure know what they are doing and were courteous and efficient.

Great parts inventory but they need to work on basic customer service in the parts department.
My travel trailer was recently harvested for parts while parked at my home. I went in with photos of what was removed. The person «helping» me had no interest in working with me and the photos to figure out what I needed. She just stared back at me and kept asking me what I needed. At one point I asked, «What is confusing?» She replied, «Nothing, just tell me what you need.» I ended up purchasing a replacement cable that was too short and missed that I needed to purchase battery cables that were missing in the photo. All of this could have been avoided if she would have spent more time looking at the photos and asking questions. She was supposed to be the expert, not me.
I guess I am used to the helpful customer service one receives at Home Depot.

The parts department is very well stocked and knowledgeable on installation questions.
I called another dealer in town who represents the brand of TT that I have and they didn’t have in stock a $ 10 canopy clamp that I urgently needed. Their parts person was kind enough to point me to Curtis Trailers. I’ve been to Curtis 3 times and to date they had the stock parts I’ve needed and very helpful on my «how to questions». I’ll be stopping by this week to pick up a vent cover that I broke.

First time travel trailer buyer, upgrading from tenting. Researched, found the trailer we wanted then called Curtis. We did all the negotiations via phone/​email and the purchase since we are in Seattle and they are in Portland.
We arrive for pick-​up, received a 5 star welcome, gave us a great walkthrough of the trailer and how-to’s… then went camping on the way back home.
Excellent dealer, great sales experience, great staff… I will and am steering my friends to Curtis. Highly recommended!

My husband and I bought a new trailer a year ago (March 2013) from Curtis Trailers. We really like the sales man that helped us. He was great. That’s where anything good ended.
We took the trailer camping late spring, through early fall of 2013. We kept finding things that were falling apart. I’m talking everything from the shower walls pulling away from the trailer walls to cupboard doors pulling out of the cabinets.
We took the trailer in with the list of repairs on a Friday and were told we would be contacted the next day about the status. We weren’t contacted at all. My husband was the one calling, checking on the status and getting updates.
It ended up that they had to get a new kitchen counter top from the manufacturer. I received a call from the service department saying the counter top was in and asked if I would please bring the trailer back so they could finish the work. We hadn’t picked up the trailer, it was still on their lot and had been for 6 weeks.
We went in and picked up the trailer in hopes that it was all «fixed» and ready to go. Their way of getting the shower panels to keep from pulling away from the wall was to rivet it to the wall. They didn’t caulk around them, so I’m concerned about them leaking. They also put the magnets on the shower door on backwards. Now the door and the shower frame repel each other. And, if you’re taking a shower, there’s no way to keep the door closed.
There is also a small dent in the trailer and the siding is pulling away from the metal trim piece.
The door between the bedroom and bathroom kept coming off the track while we were traveling & the track was bent. They did not straighten or fix the track they just added more screws.
We are VERY unhappy with the service here and will not be back!

We purchased a 2014 Denali Travel Trailer and had an awesome sales experience. Unfortunately there was a leak at the water pump. Their Service Guy Dan Farnsworth was less than helpful. He took a lackluster approach to the factory problem and didn’t care at all. I finally found the leak during a trip and brought it to Danielle’s attention. She got everything fixed and we’re happy customers. I am a small business owner and know how important customer service can be. Dan could care less, so please ask for another Service Advisor!

My service at Curtis trailers has been good. I bought a new 2014 5^th wheel at the end of October. I took it home and did a 3 day camping trip. I found about 6 issues that needed to be fixed. Which were just poor quality at putting it together. I called and made an appointment and took it back in the middle of December. It has been there every since. They have fixed all issues except one. I have three tip outs in my RV and we have a leak on one of the seals. They have fixed it and it keeps on leaking. I am hoping to get it back soon. We were planning on living in it for a while and selling our house. Although the service has been good, I am concerned with the quality on the 5^th wheel. I paid $ 45,000 for this trailer and it already has a leak? That is a big issue for me. It has been back at the dealer longer than I have had it at home.

My food cart suffered a break-​in, and we needed a new door ASAP. They couldn’t get one in stock for a few days, but he managed to find another dealer in town that did have one in stock. Although they didn’t benefit from the purchase, they still managed to help me find what I needed. I’ll be going back to Curtis for all other supplies from here on out!
