Cupcake Jones

I’m pretty sure Cupcakes Jones was one of the pioneers of the cupcake trend/​craze starting 10ish years ago. I love their cupcakes. Super fresh with fun seasonal flavors. Their gluten free cupcakes are also vegan. My husband if gf and best friend is vegan we were all able to come here together and get something. Most recently I had the pb&j cupcake-​divine. A must visit for classic cupcakes.

Best cupcakes you’ll ever try.

Not a fan. I tried the lemoncello. The frosting was pretty flavorful, but the cupcake was too dense and dry. I could not finish my cupcake. Thankfully my dog liked her cupcake so I gave her the rest of mine.

Cheating on my diet today was the best decision I’ve ever made. I’m also pretty sure this is the best cupcake I’ve ever had. There was only one person working but she was very efficient and friendly. The cupcakes are a little more spendy than what you’re used to but worth every penny. I will be recommending Cupcake Jones to everyone I know!

Easily the worst cupcake I’ve ever had! Paid $ 12 for 3 «fresh» cupcakes and was assured they were made fresh that morning. All 3 were as dry as the Sahara! The cake part literally crumbled into pieces.

We passed this little shop on our way to Boxer Ramen, and so we walked back for dessert, and I am glad we did. It’s a cute little place. We came in about 40 minutes before closing, so there were still some options. We went with Red Velvet, Boston Cream, and All-​Chocolate (don’t remember the actual flavor name of that one). It was a chocolate cupcake that hadn’t been filled or frosted yet, so she offered me two options: German Chocolate or all chocolate.
The cupcakes were all delicious. I’m more of a traditionalist when it comes to cupcake flavors, and she does the classics very well. The cake was a little on the dry side, but maybe it was because we got there shortly before they were closing. The frostings were all distinctively flavored, but not overpowering or sickeningly sweet.
We’re happy to help support these smaller businesses. We’ll be back again.

Cupcake Jones was a cute little cupcake shop, but the cupcakes were not up to par compared to other cupcake shops I have visited. The red velvet cupcake was dry on the inside and not very moist or soft. The frosting paired well with the cupcake, but nothing special stood out to me about the cupcake or its components. The frosting was not as creamy and soft as I would have preferred, and thus, the cupcake did not taste as good. I probably would not come back if I visited Portland again.

Exquisite cupcakes, awesome service! Hands down you must get your goodies here. It will satisfy any sweet tooth.

Welcoming store, beautiful presentation, friendliest service, tasty treat. Got a gluten-​free vegan cupcake for my sister’s birthday, handcrafted with care. Fateful and entirely positive experience.

Eh, nothing fabulous, nothing terrible. The chocolate chip cupcake was very stale. The other two were just ok. They do have doggie cupcakes and the cashier was friendly. However, next time I think I’ll stick to Saint Cupcake.

How can you not have a smile on your face when you have a cupcake?
The flavor combinations at Cupcake Jones are really fantastic. The frostings are light, creamy and to die for.
You can get a full sized cupcake, or, if you want to sample more flavors, they have small «two bite» sized cupcakes.
Going to a party and want to be everyones best friend — pick up a Cupcake Jones sample box.
The owners are fabulous and provide superior customer service.
Next door is Bamboo Sushi and they are building outside street seating which will be open to Cupcake Jones customers during the day — Hurray — cupcakes and sunshine, how can life get any better!!!

We live in the neighborhood and love their cupcakes! Wonderful selection, great flavors and even «frosting shots!» Always friendly service. A favorite of my eight year old.

By far the best cupcakes I have ever had. Each day they have new cupcakes as well as the original kinds. My favorite is the vanilla pearl. I go with jumbo size then u get the filling in the middle which is amazing. I have also gone to original location in the pearl. I am so glad they opened this location up.

The cakes are dry and not very well done. They taste like they have been sitting there for a month. I would never go there again! Plus the owners are bigots.

OMG! Twice a year they have a cupcake called Peanut Butter Cookie. It’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever had. If you love peanut butter, and who doesn’t, you have to try one. Also the staff and owners are amazing! Always a smile on their faces and a kind word to say.
They are also a huge supporter of so many local wonderful non and for profit organizations. They have been wonderful supporters of Our House and we can’t thank them or praise them enough.

I love Cupcake Jones! My favorites are the red velvet and anything with peanut butter. They also have a great selection for vegans and gluten free people. I buy cupcakes for parties at Cupcake Jones instead of a cake. Makes it easy and fun!

The best cupcakes ever. Made with love and some of the finest ingredients money can buy. The frosting is a work of art so light and oh so good. The garnishes are even made each day on site. Well worth the trip. Plus a portion of each sale goes to a charity that changes each month. Thank you for all you do.

Tasteless and overpriced. Save your money and go to Safeway or Albertson’s if you want the same taste and texture for less.

Have always been a cupcake lover and since moving to PDX, have faced difficulty finding specialty shops.
The cake of my «Alberta» (Boston Crème) WAS slightly crumbly, but moist enough to pass as a cupcake. The flavors of the cake and icing as well as the combination of texture of the cake and icing were TO DIE FOR. My mouth was VERY happy with my decisions and I find it completely worth the price.
The location was small, but very clean, and I was able to watch the employee freshly apply frosting to my cake. LOVE IT!
Will be returning for friends’ birthdays soon!

Clean. Very clean for a bakery. The cupcake had a good strong lemony flavor. The crumb will revive the old «What’s the difference between a cupcake and muffin» debate.
I’m just not ready for the $ 3.75 per cupcake world. Not when other sweet options are nearby.
