Crave Catering

I was struggling with a last-​minute retail store event on Cinco de Mayo and Crave Catering came to my rescue! First, they were able to take my suggestions of taquitos and virgin margaritas and turn them into something that would hold up with the walk-​thorough traffic of the event. The fiesta pinwheels were perfect; customers absolutely loved them. They were nothing, however, compared to the Agua Fresca and the guacamole was seriously the best I’ve ever had. Drop-​off and pick-​up were quick and easy, and service was always professional making my event a success.

As the owner of Crave Catering I take great concern when we do not perform to the clients expectations. I suppose this is why you decided not to pay your bill or return our calls.
Although our contract clearly states the minimum guest count guarantee may not go down, you insist we are being unreasonable. I’m sure this is a difference of opinion, however you did agree to it by signing the contract. Although she was not supposed to, our planner did her best to make amends by reducing the number of items served.
When planning an event, if you have the caterer set up in the same room as your presentation, you run the risk of additional noise. Especially when you instruct the caterer to break down and leave during your presentation. This also is where the timeline issue comes into play. Our server was merely suggesting that we come back at the end of your presentation/​event to break down our wares. This way we would not interrupt. Your derogatory comments because she was Asian and assumption that she did not understand were extremely unprofessional.
You got your dig in the end however eh? The check you gave us bounced and then left us with 1 star review. Well… guess what? We’re still here making many happy clients.

I am so pleased with our choice to work with Crave Catering for our Wedding. We chose Crave for their sustainable practices, their garden fresh menu and their delicious recipes. Our guests LOVED the seasonal fare and were so pleased at how Crave created options for every diet.
During the wedding, the staff was attentive, yet out of the way. The tables looked pristine and set up exactly as I imagined. The best thing I could have asked for was not to have to lift a finger, notice a mistake or see anything awry… and I got all three!
Crave was super flexible with our requests. They also were very gracious in dealing with my endless changing mind in the weeks before the wedding.
I also hired Jessica as our Day of Coordinator, and I TRULY enjoyed working her. Being the control freak that I am, I was hesitant about hiring a wedding planner, since most of the details I was creating myself. Jessica worked with me for all the vendor coordination and was always present for walkthroughs at the venue. She and my bridesmaids set up the event FLAWLESSLY! In fact, better than I imagined. Jessica kept the event schedule on track from start to finish and coordinated the breakdown from the venue as well.

crave catering was one of the booths at the pride nw festival, and we ordered veggie tacos, plus fish tacos. both came with black beans and rice. very delicious, and the staff was friendly.

As luck would have it, Crave was back in the office the very same day I’d also received a message from the owner saying he was sorry if things had not been on par lately.
The last lunch service was much better than in recent months, set up expertly, piping hot, and pretty darn good. We had the usual make-​yer-​own burrito, enchiladas, and salads set-​up, ingredients were all very fresh and I also happened to notice this time the take-​down was lightning quick.

Our organization used Crave for a staff lunch and everyone loved the food. The Crave staff was great in helping me plan the lunch and I was impressed with the excellent service.

We had back to back dinners provided by Crave for my cousin’s wedding. The couple has extreme dietary restrictions so I won’t put the blame on Crave for the bland food (you can’t do much when you’re not allowed to cook with garlic, onions, etc.) The staff arrived promptly and set-​up everything with no hiccup. They also removed everything just as easily. I did not work with the catering manager so I can’t comment to the pricing or the service on management’s end. But as a guest, we had a great time. If I could, I’d give it a 3.5 but not a 4 since I haven’t had anything on their ‘normal’ menu before. I wouldn’t hesitate to give them another chance if I were ever to plan an event in Portland.
