Crabtree & Evelyn

I was recently reminded of my love of Crabtree & Evelyn (it’s pronounced EVE-​lynn, not Ev-​uh-​lynn) products when I saw a little sample bottle of one of their lotions. I remember loving their products as a teen but there wasn’t a location in my hometown. I used to go to a hospital giftshop where I knew they carried the products and buy stuff there. This location is a small one inside of Washington Square mall. I went here with the purpose of getting a gift for my husband for Father’s Day. We were greeted by the super friendly worker who, to me, was the perfect amount of helpful. I love when shop workers let you know they’re there to answer any questions, show you what you’re looking for, but don’t hound you the whole time you’re there. She clearly knew the products very well. We chose some shaving products and cologne from their West Indian Lime line as well as some other products from the avocado/​olive/​basil line (one line for men and the other pretty gender neutral). Once we were done picking out stuff, she gift wrapped it all for us as a courtesy. She also gave us a few coupons and while we were there, I signed up for their free rewards program (where you receive coupons for your birthday, Christmas, etc.) I love this place. I’m going to make it a point to go there more often. I mean, their lotions are better quality (and better scents) than somewhere like Bath & Body. Yes, a couple of their scents smell like someone a little older would like them (lily, rosewater) but that’s exactly what I thought: I’ll get a rose dusting powder as a birthday gift for my grandma and she’ll think it’s lovely! I’m glad I rediscovered Crabtree & Evelyn and will be visiting more.
