The service in this place rocks! The food is getting there. Honestly, it depends on how many people are dining. Less people good food — more people meh food. Beer is good and the parking… well, here in Portland, parking is like a golden egg or the whole damn goose for that matter.

People must not come here for the food, service was ok. Bloody Mary was awful and a dollar up charge for a pint sized bloody? Multiple signs posted about open tabs having 18% gratuity added and no drugs makes me think they must have shabby clientele on a regular basis. Won’t be back

If you’re here for the alcohol and sporting event, fine. They have plenty of TV’s that carry the big games of the day. STAYAWAY from the food… it’s simply appalling. I got food poisoning from their sliders. Their nachos are insipid… not willing to try anything else.

OK… Not great, not bad. Very friendly staff with a very large menu. Very clean and lighting was great. Especially for a tavern.

Absolutely appalled! My fiancé and i have ordered clamity to go a few times and decided to go back last night! We ordered the french dip with tots and a ultimate sandwhich. the guy handed him one bag but not the other so my fiancé walked out to the car(not one person behind him btw) and we went home(to washington!) we got everything oit to eat the bag had to containers so we assumed it was all good. There was one french dip and no au jus and a container of fries! I had my fiancé call and complain nicely so he did they said he left it on the seat and that he could come back for it. He informed them we live in washington and he said he could save it for him for tomorrow… He asked if he could just refire it tomorrow and the dude said theres nothing i can do for you buddy! Wow. I want my money back. No dinner for him so we shared a dry same which! What is a 10.95 refire to keep a customer?

Why spend money on street signs, sandwich boards or turn in the neons? Driving by and these illusions of being welcomed caused me pull in, to hopefully watch MNF and have a beverage. Sat at the bar looked directly at the bartender he sees me(we did this 3 times and I don’t get a greeting, a question ofwhat I’d like or anything. Another walks up with his empty glass gets immediate service as I sit in envy. I am now down the street, have a cold beverage in my hand and placed a nice tip on the bar.

It’s a nice bar, but kind of dance club trendy outer Se Portland, white rapper crowd. A lot of talk about drugs here and of course drug addicts. Lots of potheads and welfare chicks. Want to have a kid with a slut, swing on in and take one home. It’ll be supported by your tax dollars. Okay that may be an exaggeration, or not… All in all a nice bar, good drinks, but shitty crowd.

Great neighborhood bar & grill. Full menu starting with breakfast. We had a great server. When we explained it was our first time, she took the time to answer questions, make suggestions, and welcome us to the neighborhood. It’s a sports bar atmosphere with booths and tables for dining. We had the rib-eye and the prime rib, both were decent. The homemade clam chowder rocks as does the homemade salad dressing.

Went in for a good breakfast and instead got treated with the most horrible customer service by the morning bar manager, I think that they should have more then one waitress in the morning because obviously she could not manage helping cutomers; I asked for help on getting a ticket from one of the slot machines, girl was super rude, telling me she was busy, I’m sorry that is no way to treat a customer… had me waiting for a long time and then was very snotty when helping me, even saying she was«sorry» in a snotty tone, talikng over me… she let me know that after cashing my ticket I was not allowed back, with that customer service I would not have been back anyways… poor customer service skills and management skills; cutomers are always first and always right…

Been here twice. The first time was a hamburger. Good burger. This time was the nachos, horrible. Description wasn’t even close. Big portion, couldn’t find any«seasoned meat». Great presentation. Processed nacho cheese. The taste was bad. Great service.

I am not going to say that this is a place where you can get the finest culinary experience of your life. I will, however, say that this is one damn good burger and some of the BEST dang bar food I have ever had. I have not yet ventured into their much talked about breakfast menu, but I am working my way through the rest of the menu. I have not been disappointed with anything I have ordered here. If you like watching an event with your adult beverage and meal, then this is the place for you. There are TV’s everywhere. The parking lot fills up fast on a Friday night though, so car pool if you are driving. Oh, and to comment on some of the other reviews, yes, there is someone at the door who WILL check ID and will not let you go back and forth to your car. Why, you ask? Clarity does not want anyone doing drugs or any shady things in their establishment and I don’t blame them. There is a smoking patio for you smokers out there so do not fret.

I’ve been twice to Clamity Jae’s. Both times provided solid bar food. The burgers are very good, appetizers and other options we’ve tried are good. Not great but a solid good. The service has been friendly and the beers cold and inexpensive($ 3.50 for a pint of Drop Top or Ninkasi). Glad we took the plunge and tried this spot out. We’re fans.

A decent neighborhood burger joint. We stopped here when we shopping at the paint store down the street and it happened to be dinnertime. We stopped in just because it was handy, but it turned out to be a good experience. We just had basic cheeseburgers and curly fries but they were really outstanding — fresh, flavorful, not greasy in the least. Curly fries were OK, probably not worth the extra $ 1.75 upgrade from regular fries. Fun, relaxed atmosphere. We’ll be back next time we’re out running errands in the Gateway area. My only complaint is that the service was a little slow but this wasn’t the fault of the waitress — she was taking care of a big crowd by herself and the place really should have given her more help.

Came here on a whim. We were headed to another restaurant/bar and decided to try out this one instead since we have driven by dozens of times. Unfortunately it was a UFC fight night and there was a $ 5 per person door charge(didn’t mind it despite not being a UFC follower). It was very very loud and dark, and also very busy. Our server was polite at first but rushed, and didn’t really take the time nor did she check in to see if we needed anything.(Refills, napkins, etc) The food came out looking pretty great, my friend had a sandwich which looked delicious. Good bar food for sure. My biggest issue was the«open food» charge we each received with no explanation as to what this was or why we had this charge of $ 1.75 each. When I asked one of the servers what this was, she was extremely rude and standoffish and wouldn’t give a straight answer. Decent food, great Long Island’s, but poor service and rude and rushed servers. Probably won’t be going back.

This is a good spot if your looking for a place that serves good bar food and drinks. You will like the fact that they have flat screens everywhere and showing all the fights, races, sports and much much more. Service is excellent they are on top of there game even when its packed. The food is good and large portions as well. The drinks are good just prepare for them to be a bit strong ;). Overall an above average bar.

They are all right over all. For a little background this was my first time here and I came with a large group for the playoffs. That being said: Pros: Love the amount of TV’s EVERYWHERE so that you can see the big game no matter where you are sitting or who’s big head is in front of you. Server’s are very nice, and work hard. Drinks are stiff, just the way I like them. Prices are very reasonable. Cons: Don’t get the biscuits and gravy. It’s a very large portion for a very low price($ 6.50 full plate) BUT there is very little sausage in the gravy, and it is of the thin liquidy texture, with not a whole lot of flavor.(PS I love biscuits and gravy, especially on Sunday). The biscuits themselves where pretty good though. Don’t expect anything quick fast or in any kind of hurry, cause it’s just not going to happen. Pay attention to your bill if you are running a tab. This could just be because of the large group but there were a few errors and then the gal ran the card for the wrong about so had to re-run.(It happens, just make sure it doesn’t go un-noticed). I will be back! And I will review again :)

Pros: Had the surf and turf. Steak came cooked juicy. Prawns were all hot with a great crunchy breading. Sides were a large stuffed baked potato, corn, and garlic bread. Ended up being highly stuffed for $ 13.95. Not a bad steak dinner I must say. Waitress was really fun. We went on Halloween night, she was dressed up and made sure we had everything we needed. Kept our drinks filled, brought out steak and hot sauces, and lemons for the shrimp. Lots of sports games on the TVs around the joint. Meh: Not a big selection in beers. Got the basics covered, but for Portland would have liked to see a bigger selection. Wife wanted wine and had to order by color. So there’s that. Con: Smelled slightly of cigarette for some reason. Bathrooms were a very«bar» quality.

Clamity Jae’s keeps just the right balance of trashy versus awesome. Looks like the kind of place where you’ll see regulars more often than newcomers, and the bartender will remember your name soon enough if you come in a few times. Cheap pool and drinks, decent food(assuming you’ve already had a drink or two). The fries were slightly undercooked, fried mushrooms slightly overcooked, but that balances out, right? Nice patio outside where it’s easy to get lost in conversation with another patron. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a chill spot to relax with some good company.
