Rude service. The shop girl was too busy merchandising to even say hello. It’s a tiny store where we had to avoid bumping each other and still, no hello? I even lingered, just to see if she would ever offer me assistance… nope. I agree with the other reviewer about checking out Sellwood shops or on Mississippi in NE.

I LOVE this shop. It is an absolutely gorgeous amalgamation of furnishings, home accessories and apothecary items. I used to live in the neighborhood, and stop by all the time to peruse the wares and treat myself to accessories for my home. This is the shop that taught me to love John Robshaw pillows, John Derian trays, Raynaud china, and most of all — Diptyque candles and perfumes. To the reviewer, «AC,» that said they were disappointed because there was no tester of Opone, just so you know, that scent was discontinued. I would consider it a miracle that Cielo was able to procure any of the remaining stock of it. And by the way, their bottles of perfume are only around 85 or 90, not 135. Perhaps you should stop being so cheap and trying to ruin the reputation of a local business that the rest of us know and love. If you are an educated consumer and enjoy shopping for high-end home furnishings and accessories, you will love this shop. It comes HIGHLY recommended.

I have a secret love of all things Domino, designsponge, apartmenttherapy, etc. And this little shop in the Pearl is one of my favorite places in Portland to browse around and dream of the day when I’ll be able to afford the $ 2,000 end tables and $ 1700 accent chairs. But until then, it’s a perfect stop for an afternoon of window shopping in the Pearl. And I’ve found there is just enough of an assortment of adorably affordable goodies, like handmade postcards or neckties-turned-dog-collars, to allow for a small indulgence if your budget is similar to mine. Plus, the staff has always been sweet and gracious regardless of what purchase I may(or may not) be making!

AWFUL service. I’ve been in here twice, trying to get my hands on Opone(a Diptyque scent which has since been discontinued). The first time I ordered a 200 mL bottle, wrote my name and number on a lovely slip of paper, NEVER got a call back. A year later, went back, they have no tester but plenty of stock. Excuse me, but before I drop $ 135 on a bottle of perfume, I’d like to smell it first. Discussed it with very nice staff lady, unwilling to open another bottle as a tester, or, to say, open the bottle I plan to buy, if it doesn’t smell the same, I’ll buy my second, $ 135 choice. Either way I was desperate to walk out of there with expensive french perfume, but no dice. ABSOLUTELYRIDICULOUS. Seriously, how can you sell perfume without testers?

One of my most favorite stores in Portland. It is too bad they closed down the Bridgeport store that was close to my office because heaven knows I was a spending significant portion of my paycheck there. This is the place that turned me on to Diptyque and DL& Co. candles, Antica Farmacista and John Derian découpage, of which I am now a collector. Oh my — this place is fantastic! When I was there a couple months ago, I was told that the owners had begun an interior design service and I know why — if the store décor is any example of the services they provide, their design skills must be incredible. Every time I have been here, the service has always been super friendly. Love this place…

Love this place! The window display caught my eye and had to go inside. Felt like some of the very chic home décor shops in the Hamptons — the owners have impeccable taste and it was a pity I only came away with a candle by Fred Segal Studio and a roll-on perfume by Voluspa called Vanity which I love and is perfect for traveling! So many beautiful pillows, tableware, glassware, furniture, light fixtures, coffee table books and amazing scented things I wanted to take it all home!

Ashleigh nailed it. This place is fresh, innovative and reminds me a bit of Henri Ben del’s old home furnishing area, which was wacky and sophisticated all at once. Go to get inspired for your home or pick up something for some one special. Either way, it’s a joy to visit a store where you are actually impressed at how they have decorated the place. This comes from a visual communications specialist!

Ever walk by a a swinging door and it smells so good you just have to peek in to see what treat you’re missing out on? That’s how you describe Cielo Home from the outside, only it looks and smells so good you have to open the door, step in and let their creative brilliance take-over. I was just in there today while shopping on my lunch break and found so many fabulous things I’m seriously considering not buying a new pair of shoes for Easter and instead buying RHINESTONEANDCORALENCRUSTEDSHELLNAPKINRINGS!!! They also have Antica Farmacista scent sticks in Santorini– which I adore! One whiff and and I was back in my Junior year of college, exploring fabulous ancient Greek cities on the weekends and drinking too much ouzo before doing homework during the week. The fragrances is spicy, but with a nice little medley of crisp ocean breeze and a juniper tree or two. I also spied a local flavor.. .. . two Pink Martini CD’s. BONUSPOINTSFORCIELOHOMEFORBEINGSODARNSUPPORTIVEOF(amazing) LOCALTALENT! I now have to wrap this up, because folks, it’s official– I have to get back over there to make my purchases before some other PDX Shopping Heiress scoops up my goodies and tries to pass those napkin holders off as her find-of-the-week! And I refuse to feel the slightest bit guilty about these purchases, because I mean seriously, my Southern grandmother and Hostess-With-The-Mostess Mother will applaud this decision at our Easter Celebration, and I won’t regret it when sitting at the dinner table with the twinkling hum of Pink Martini playing in the background, and everyone commenting on my gorgeous table ornaments instead of criticizing my «too-sweet» glazed ham or «unfluffy» mashed spuds. And of course, I will accept all the praise graciously knowing that it wouldn’t have been possible without Bernard and all those kind boys at Cielo Home!
