Chou Chou

I love Chou Chou! Beth is so fun and does a great job on my cut/​color every single time. I’m so happy to have found the perfect little shop right in my own neighborhood! And it’s so stinkin’ cute to boot!

I love going into Chou Chou. Its a relaxing experience where Sarah serves you a drink of your choice, puts a warm heating pad on your shoulders, and she does what ever you want to your hair. What more could a girl ask for?!
I have been going to Sarah for over 3 years now, and it amazes me how each time she has another new idea for my hair. I love change. and maybe a little tooo much ;)
If you want someone who is very creative, knows what she is doing, fun person to be around Sarah is your lady!

Sarah has been doing my hair for years. She is absolutely amazing at color and always knows the cutting edge techniques for cuts. She recently put in real hair extensions for me and they look amazing. She matched them so perfectly to my hair color that it is impossible to know they are extensions!

Why in the world would I write a review of Chou Chou?
Well… My 8 year old daughter isn’t bearded, nor is she bald.
She has a funky sense of style and rocks a super cute pixie-​like short hairdo.
Guess who makes her look fantastic, feel special, and has my daughter’s trust?
Beth.
Beth is very special. She is warm, lovely, hilarious, down to earth, real, and a no-​nonsense/​tells it like it is kind of person. Combine these traits with her amazing talents and you’ve got a kick ass artist!
If I had hair, she’d be cutting it. For now, I will just keep trusting her to ‘wow’ my extremely strong willed, cool, and silly daughter.

I have been a client of Sarah Dudley’s for over 8 years now. I’ve followed her from the 1^st day she touched my hair and will continue to do so FOREVER. She turns all of my wild and crazy hair fantasies into reality and wont stop until your vision is fully met. She is a perfectionist at heart and I truly LOVE that about her. Chou Chou itself is an awesome environment and no matter what kind of day I’ve had, I can walk thru the door and instantly feel at ease… catching up on all the latest celebrity gossip with Sarah and Beth.!! If anyone is curious about finding a place where the talent and the atmosphere go hand in hand… Chou Chou is for You!!!

I wanted to try this little place out, the reviews were good and it is really close to my place. But when I called (during business hours) no one answered and even though I left a message I never recieved a return call…

This post is so long overdue. Sarah Dudley is not only a goddess with color (she has changed my hair back and forth between platinum blonde and pitch, dark brown multiple times) she can transform your appearance with a stellar haircut. She is very meticulous and makes it a point to make sure she knows exactly what you are looking for (which, after moving to San Francisco and trying out a couple of different salons, I found out, is a extremely desirable quality).
Beth and Sarah are a fabulous duo and they really are the best at what they do. They also provide you with beverages, a relaxing environment and lots of gossip if your into it :)

Beth is the first stylist I’ve ever trusted to try stuff on my hair without me knowing beforehand exactly what she would come up with. Maybe it’s the sometimes-​pink hair, but I trust her judgement, and know that we are on the same page when it comes to looks that work. I’ve never been disappointed with anything she’s done with my hair, and would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to try something fabulous.

This place is awesome; I love the personal attention I get. Not only does my hair look good, but my back feels great from the heated pads, my thirst is quenched from the tea I’ve been made, and my hands and neck feel wonderful from the massage. Can’t beat this place!

No matter what a cruddy day I happen to be having, I always feel like a million bucks after leaving Chou Chou! I refer to Beth as my «hair boss.» She always does the perfect cut and color for me, and has seen me through brunette, blonde, «almost Crystal Gale» type locks, to my recent short bob.
Aside from the professional skill Beth and Sarah have, they both make me feel welcome and adored. Chou Chou is filled with love and laughter, and feels more like a home than a salon. Beth and my fiancée planned a surprise get together with friends at Chou Chou complete with ice cream cake and a new hair ‘do on my last birthday.
I often get asked where I get my hair done, and without hesitation, I refer people to both Beth and Sarah. They have it all; style, humor, and talent. I love these ladies!

Beth and Sarah are the Kahlo and Cassatt of curls and color. No matter what you look like when you show up at the doors of Chou Chou, you will leave a masterpiece. You’ll feel pampered and pretty and like showing off your new ‘do.
And in addition to bringing out the beauty in you, these girls will make you laugh so hard you’ll cry. Seriously, if you aren’t into a good time, stay away from Chou Chou.
Beth does my hair, cut, color and style, and Sarah does my daughter’s thick, long, curly hair. My daughter has such a good time when she goes to Chou Chou that we asked the girls to let us have her 13^th birthday party at the salon. Five girls had their hair and makeup done while professional photog Jen Hecht documented the party. The result? My daughters friends all agreed it was the best party they’d ever been to.
