These guys know customer service! I came in after hearing a scraping sound coming from my car, (there was a part of my skid plate hanging down.) They fixed it right up and sent me on my way.
I wish I could remember the name of the guy who helped us, since he was so kind and generous toward us, from the second we walked in; to the second we left.
Since this was my vacation, the last thing I wanted to worry about was car trouble, but these guys saved the trip!

I needed a new brake light for my Kia… thats what the nice police officer told me. I found myself here since it was the closest place. They had my bulb I needed and even help change it. Awesome I will always go to them for all my auto needs

Really friendly and helpful staff. Helped me find the right wiper blade for my old Toyota, and tested a few out to make sure they fit properly before I purchased. Would recommend.

I picked up a new wiper here recently after one of mine decided to liven up my day by snapping in half on the 205 bridge over the Columbia River. I called a few other places before landing at Carquest, and either they were too specialized to carry wipers or, in the words of one place that shall go mercifully unnamed, «We don’t have that in stock* but let me see about ordering it for you**.»
*A wiper blade for that rare beast, the 2010 Toyota Corolla? I don’t think I’ve even heard of such a thing.
**Because if there’s one thing you don’t immediately need in Portland in January, it’s functioning wipers.
These guys were great. Friendly, fast, helped me grab the right part in under 2 minutes, and three weeks later it has survived many a trip up and down 205.

Great service and good selection, but closed on Sundays and terrible parking knock it down.

I had a great experience here! Both of the associates were very friendly but Greg went above and beyond by making sure I had the right replacement headlight, then removing the headlight, and then replacing it with the new one. This may seem like a simple feat but I have a Volvo. Love the car but there is nothing that is simple about it. After a reasonable amount of trouble because the area available to replace the light bulb is incomprehensibly small (I have had mechanics who have been unsuccessful in carrying out this project) he was successful! Also he smiled and joked throughout the ordeal. I will definitely return even if they refuse to touch the car again. I never expected them to in the first place but am very grateful he did! Go Greg!

As a real estate broker/​property manager, I have properties all over the place & I rely on having working transportation. I have the pleasure of managing a mobile home park in Estacada. No one wants to go there, but I was stuck there because my battery and cables decided to give me troubles. The tow truck driver was awesome and jiggled my battery around and did something that made it start and be okay for 2 to 3 days. I was trying to be cheap and go here there and everywhere to find a car battery that worked with my car. I didn’t find any that worked with my car, and I didn’t want to pay someone to up-​charge me for replacing it. I finally ended up at CarQuest.
They had a battery for my car. Because their lot has a slight incline, I went to start my car and it was dead. The perfect positioning of my dying battery was gone. Fate brought me here. I returned as a damsel in distress, and they changed my battery and took my old one for just battery cost. I told them to keep the $ 17 exchange fee, but they insisted I get a refund.

Halsey Automotive is my default destination for auto parts. However, I recently bought an older domestic truck. Halsey doesn’t have many domestic parts, so I had to search for a good place to get things for my truck. Irwin’s is the place.
They’re friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Plus, instead of gathering your personal information or trying to upsell, they just run an honest business. I’d be more than happy to send anyone their way.

As a DIY mechanic, I appreciate an auto parts store that is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. This place has all of that in spades. First off, I REALLY enjoy that it’s within blocks of my house. That makes working on my singular vehicle a LOT easier. Second, when I haven’t been in the store in months, and the guy at the register REMEMBERS the make and model of my car? That’s something special. And when I was replacing a CV joint and had a few questions (and was covered in grease), the staff was more than happy to do what they could to help me figure out what the hell I was doing and how to fix it.
Parking is at a premium. That’s the worst thing I can say about the place.
Also, the name Carquest denotes a certain level of quality of parts i have come to appreciate over the years. I know Schucks, Knecht’s, Autozone, etc. are often higher profile and better known, but you owe it to yourself and your car to get the best part for your money. So do yourself a favor and check these guys out. Get treated like the mechanic you are, not just a customer.
