I honestly didn’t enjoy the taste of their«yum sauce» and it either overpowered the bowl or everything else was tasteless. Either way, not good. Service was friendly and quick.

The food tastes really good but skip the added chicken for $ 2. You get about seven quarter(the currency) sized pieced. Definitely not worth two more dollars.

I love café yumm! So good! The sauce is amazing! I usually get the original bowl and it is topped with such fresh & amazing toppings!

Walked around Portland State University to look for somewhere to eat dinner before the PSU basketball game tonight. Café Yumm! features healthy food, which is exactly what I should be having, so that’s where I went. Their dining area was spacious and clean, and I could see numerous PSU students eating there with their laptops open(which indicated to me that they have free wifi too.). Menu choices consist of rice bowls with various toppings, wraps, sandwiches, salads, and soups. They emphasize that many of their ingredients are organic or all natural and they have several vegan options. I ordered the Original Yumm! Bowl, which I figured to be their«baseline» item. It was a bowl of organic brown rice and black beans with Original Yumm! Sauce, and I chose toppings of diced tomatoes, olives, cheddar cheese, avocado, and cilantro. I liked it.. .it certainly felt like a healthy meal, and it was satisfying. Prices are reasonable too. Well, I think this will be a regular place for me to stop in to eat whenever I’m around PSU for basketball games.

Decent food, but not a value. Waited 13 minutes for a very small cup of soup that cost $ 4. Left annoyed.

Have received good, fast service and good, healthy food! I love being able to pick up an organic meal after work to eat at home!

This Café Yumm location is the reason I keep coming back to the chain. The food here is always hot and delicious(unlike the Lake Oswego location) and the people are friendly and genuinely seem to care about providing a great experience. I have eaten at this place so many times that when I accidentally left my purse hanging on the chair before running off to a class, the manager grabbed it and flagged me down as soon as he saw me walk back in the door 2 hours later. The other Café Yumm locations could definitely take some tips from this one!

Felt like eating rice and veggies, so stopped by for quick meal that won’t weigh me down too much before my essay assignments. Near PSU so convenient location for student on budget and time crunch. Brown rice was bit dry, but sauce and beans made it moist and easier to chew. Avocado wasn’t as fresh, but tomato and cilantro was. Extra tempeh added nutty flavors. Ordered medium and could not finish it. Will go for small next time. Cheese and olives seemed prepackaged/canned so high sodium. Overall, felt I could make it for fraction of price at home with better ingredients. Rainy weather and few customers, and it sounds like one coworker is sick and sneezing. I hope I won’t contract it. Defeats purpose of eating healthy.

Quick, easy, cheap… and healthy? That’s a pretty great combo. The sauce is fantastic, I use it at home on everything.

Meh. It is a decent quick grab meal but I am not amazed by a simple rice bowl with veggies. The sauce is pretty good but I like what I make at home better.

This was my first and last time visiting Café Yumm. I ordered a turkey sandwich with mayo and mustard and payed almost 8 dollars for it which is perfectly acceptable except the sandwich was about the quality of a wrapped sandwich you’d find in a Plaid Pantry. The bread tasted cheap and was super bleached. The condiments for the sandwich came on the side instead of on it without my request, which was just annoying. The side consisted of plain tortilla chips, which I’ve never known people to really eat without any dip or something which I didn’t have. It felt like a meal thrown together by a stressed mother. And the customer service was unfriendly. When I asked my cashier how large their sandwiches were, she looked at me like my question was ridiculous and said«Like, the size of bread? I don’t know». Café Yumm? I’ll pass.

Spacious, good for kids & not bad food! Fast service. I had the smoked bowl with southwestern chicken added… good but not great. It costed $ 9.25…I would say a little too high for the quality & portion size. Good for a quick fill ur stomach on a busy day.

Perfectly healthful for post endurance workout. ALL soups are amazing and could easily place in a top full service restaurant. Ant flavor Yumm! Sauce on anything is great. It’s vegan, soy free.

Terrible food. The salmon burher is inedible. And don’t go if you are in a hurry. They have no clue how to deal with a lunch crowd.

I had never heard of this place before my wife and I decided to get a chicken bowl. We loved it and would definitely recommend this place to others.

I had heard good things about Café Yumm! but had never eaten there until last week when I happened to have it 2x, once dining in and once delivered to our office. Each time, everything was fantastic. I had the Original Yumm! bowl both times and love it. Next time I’m going to venture onto one of their other offerings.

Really just bad. The sauce they put on everything tastes like the inside of a hippie’s trail bag– nutritional yeast, Bragg’s and cashews. Not the kind of sauce you want on a tex-mex food item. I could have omitted it, but it was my first(and last) time here. In an effort to be a healthy fast-food joint they sacrificed flavor on the rest of the items. Salsa, beans, chicken and rice were bland. I don’t understand what the hype is about. You can be healthy and still use good fats and spices. Two stars because they mispronounced my name and said«Hannie,» which is a term of endearment my godmother used to call me.

Tasty! Grabbed a Southwest Chicken Wrap to-go. It was very flavorful, yet kind of sloppy and hard to eat(awkward folding of the wrap)… still delicious! I will definitely return.

I like this location in particular. Something about it being on the PSU campus gives it a bit more lively feel and if I went to PSU I would probably be here a heck of a lot more. I was surprised to learn about a presumably ongoing special, 8 bucks for a medium bowl and draft pint. I think the special term is that it’s after 4pm, but that’s the time I go anyway. That’s a heck of a deal! And the fact that they have a few draft beers is awesome too.

I’ve been here more times than I can count. I used to swing in after work to grab a medium smoky bowl a few tines a week. Most of the bowls are pretty similar — rice, beans, cheese, olives, sour cream, the special topping for the particular bowl, and if course the yumm sauce. Very similar to Whole Bowl but with more variety. I think they’re pretty good and have lots of fresh ingredients. It’s easy to convince yourself they’re healthy when in reality they aren’t that great for you. Even cutting the sour cream and cheese out leaves you with a heavy sauce(though vegan) and a huge sodium content. I’ve gotten burnt out on their bowls over the past few years but I’d recommend you give it a try if you’re looking for a quick bite. There are a good amount of locations but the hours are often pretty limited. Most spots near me close around 7pm, making it tough to get there in time by foot after work.
