this place is awesome. the owner was nice, funny and very helpful, not to mention the flower arrangement she made for me was beautiful! i dont see myself going elsewhere for flowers in the future.

When I ordered some vases of daffodils for a party at Corkscrew, Rachel was nice enough to deliver them for me that afternoon. The bouquets were gorgeous, at a reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Cute little place! Super friendly shop girl! Window shopping on a unusually, warm March night and wandered into this little shop, doors wide open a hour and a half after closing time and shopkeeper was welcoming and chatty. She was very helpful with home care for my cute, little, $ 2 String of Pearls succulents. Overall pleasant experience! Only 4*, due to lack of flower variety. But then again, it was the end of the day.

I called on Tuesday morning to see if I could have a birthday bouquet delivered to a dear friend by the end of the day. I spoke to Rachel, she was very friendly and professional, and told me this would be no problem. I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for, but I knew the favorite color was blue and I asked for something really sunny and happy. My friend had sent me a picture of her flowers later that day and they were so beautiful! Large, fresh cut sunflowers with lots of green and small dark blue berries scattered throughout. They came in a lovely blue vase, too. It’s hard to trust a business as a first-​time customer, especially when you cannot see the final product or service, but this was a great experience with excellent customer service. Thank you Rachel for helping make my friend smile on her birthday! I am sure to call By the Bunch again the next time I need a quality bouquet or arrangement.

They were very helpful, beautiful flowers lasted a long time. They even sent me a picture of the arrangement. I appreciated other recommendations on Unilocal and called them directly. Tip my mother the florist gave me — call the local florist instead of using an online service. Save money and have direct contact with the florist.

I have been going to By the Bunch since Rachel opened ages ago. It’s my father’s go to place for exquisite, unique flowers & bouquets.
When I was planning my wedding I knew exactly who I wanted to do my flower arrangements and bouquets, Rachel, of course!
She did an absolutely unbelievable job. I was so in love with the mixture of garden roses, ranunculus, anemones, and monkey tails. Everything was perfect, and done with great care, and attention.
I could not recommend Rachel any more highly for your every day flower shop needs, or wedding /​big events.

I ordered flowers for a friend’s birthday from Rachel. We chatted on the phone for a few minutes regarding my price point and the style of flowers I like. Good sign: Rachel does not even carry carnations or baby’s breath. Hurray! She was very helpful and friendly. I mentioned that my friend would not be home until late so Rachel scheduled an afternoon delivery. The flowers were just lovely. So tasteful. I loved how you can get a text message or email of a picture of the actual flowers sent. I have had a few atrocious arrangements sent in the past with other florists so it sure is nice to be able to see what you bought! I would definitely call them up again for Portland flower deliveries. They won’t embarrass you by sending cheesy flowers.

I own Commonwealth Vintage Rentals and I had the opportunity to work with Rachel on a photo shoot a while back. I couldn’t have been more excited about what Rachel created for the shoot. We had explained our vision and what she was created was beyond perfect. She has such a creative eye and unique assortments that make her stand out amongst Portland’s florist. I would definitely recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a rad florist!

If you’re like me, you’ve dreamed of moving to New York City just to be able to walk out of your apartment, go down the street, buy fresh cut gorgeous flowers in brown wrapping from a small local business and carry them around while drinking coffee. But alas! I’ve found a way to make the flower/​coffee/​walking dream come true while living my other dream of staying in amazing Portland the rest of my life. The answer? By the Bunch.
The store, located in the heart of Westmoreland-​Sellwood, is barely the size of a walk-​in closet out in the new home communities of Hillsboro, but it’s got more charm in it’s proverbial little pinky. You’ll see large potted or hanging plants outside with tubs of fresh cut flowers of all varieties ready to greet you as you walk in. Inside, you’ll find tubs of single cut flowers and friendly helpful owner behind a small counter ready to help you concoct a one-​of-​a-​kind creation. Then, GASP, she’ll wrap it up for you in brown paper and after a quick pop-​in at a local coffee shop, you are ready to live your New York dream!
She keeps her prices affordable and also keeps her selection unique. Last time I was in, the owner said she was lucky to have found a niche in the market that let’s her keep doing the cool stuff in the flower industry.“
She specializes in doing weddings and events as well, but she says that these are not your run-​of-​the-​mill flower arrangements. She likes to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas and spins to the way flowers are presented, whether on a single cut or for an event.

She is an artist and a joy to work with. I gave her creative license with my bridal bouquet and it took my breath away. My favorite part of the wedding and it had almost been an afterthought for me. I adored her, and my flowers and tell anyone who will listen about this place.

By the Bunch is an outstanding florist! My wife called me mid-​afternoon this past Saturday asking me to arrange to send her best friend a floral arrangement that same day. We live in Berkeley, CA, so I consulted Unilocal/​Portland, found By the Bunch (very highly recommended) and called. I talked with Rachel, who I assume owns the business, and the customer service that I received from her was truly unbelievable. Her delivery truck had already left for the day (as I had expected), but she offered to deliver the flowers herself; the arrangement was precisely what I had asked for — and I know this because Rachel sent me a photo of it via e-​mail! All in all, a phenomenal experience!

Just down the street so I get to see the fab succulents, cool kangaroo paw and doll parts oddities all the time. The most fun, creative lovies around. Thanks for being!

We used By the Bunch for a bridal photoshoot on Sauvie Island — the flowers were above and beyond. I appreciated her ability to hear what we were looking for but also encourage us to break away from trends and create something innovative and ultimately, much better than I could come up with myself! The result was perfect and really set the shoot apart. I loved the bouqtue, but also the centerpieces and namecard holder we featured.
As a wedding photographer I see flower arraignments every weekend and Rachel’s definitely stand out in my mind.

I don’t live in Portland, but wanted to send flowers to my bf’s parents who live there. I found this place on Unilocal and gave them a call. Rachel was so nice and prepared a beautiful arrangement and deliver it within a day. I didn’t really know what exactly I wanted, but with just a few questions Rachel was able to guide me in the right direction and prepare such a beautiful arrangement. Great flowers and so easy to work with!

my son has had flowers from here delivered for me about 3 or 4 times now and each time they have been just fabulous. i used to be a florist for years so i am picky and he knows it, ha. the vases are always different and lovely, not the standard generic vases that are so typically used. Rachael always listens to my son’s preferences and even sends him a picture so i don’t have to! this is an absolutely wonderful shoppe!

The flowers were the best part of my wedding. *Sigh* I love flowers, and I’m so glad By the Bunch «got» my vision.

My husband recently had flowers delivered to me for my birthday. He told them my favorite color was orange, and the bouquet I received was stunning. It looked more like something handpicked in a meadow, only better, and the vase is very nice, big and substantial. The flowers are still okay after one full week (many flowers died but the lillies are still great). He has sent me many bouquets in the last 19 years, but this was, by far, my favorite. I highly recommend this florist.

We recently got married in Portland, and Rachel Galloway from By the Bunch was our florist. She was very easy to work with and she did an incredible job.
The shop is a great space. When we were there we had an opportunity to see how she interacts with other customers. She was very nice and very accomodating to people and their needs.
In short, when you need flowers or arrangements in Portland, this is the place to go!
