I had lunch at the 82nd& Glisan Burgerville yesterday, and had the same exact lunch at this one on 92nd and Powell today, because I liked what I had yesterday and also wanted to see if they’d be exactly the same. This time I noticed that it says«Wild Alaskan Halibut» on the menu. I didn’t notice yesterday. So I ordered what I had yesterday… fish filet sandwich(which was halibut), regular sized Yukon Gold waffle fries(special seasonal item) and a soft drink. The gal at the register asked me if I wanted a receipt. I said no. I waited for her to hand me a drink cup(this is how it works at Burgerville, they hand you an empty cup and you get the beverage at a self-serve station.) She asked me «Did you order a drink?» I said«Since I didn’t ask for a receipt, now I can’t prove it.» My order was on some electronic screen, however, so she handed me a drink cup. I was kind of perturbed at being asked if I’d ordered a drink ten seconds after I had ordered and paid for a drink. After about ten minutes a guy brings my food out. The Yukon Gold Waffle fries come with ranch sauce, which I declined yesterday but had decided to try today. But the ranch was missing. I told the guy my ranch sauce was missing, and he retrieved it for me. This order of fries was larger than yesterday’s. I don’t know if it was just a coincidence, or if each Burgerville weighs or counts out the fries according to how many they think you should receive. But there were about twice as many waffle fries as I had yesterday. They only come in two sizes, «regular» and«large.» Regular size is $ 3 something and large is $ 5 something. Then I was foiled at the bathroom again. I carry a small travel toothbrush with me at all times and like to brush my teeth after eating. Whereas the 82nd& Glisan Burgerville locks their restrooms to prevent customer use, this one on 92nd& Powell has airplane style restrooms where only one person can use them at a time. Someone was in the mens room, and a guy was standing there waiting to get in, so I decided not to wait. This Burgerville has a larger parking lot and slightly nicer atmosphere than the other one.

The food is good. Service is quick. However the cleanliness of the estsblisment is lacking in the dining area. I just hope the kitchen area is a different story. Tables and seats were very sticky and gross. You could see where perhaps an employee attempted to wipe down a table due to left over circular water marks left on the table but food bits remained. I gave them 3 stars in the off chance that they were having a busy day.

I’m very sorry to tell you that we found a BLOODY, DIRTYSHAVER in our fries. We went through the drive through, and my 78 year old mother pulled out a disgusting shaver straight out of her french fry bag. We tried to get Burgerville to do something about it, as we’ve been disgusted with the thought of fast food ever since then. An insurance agent contacted us on Burgerville’s behalf and accused us of making up the incident. Burgerville Corporate did not bother to do a thorough investigation and did not apologize for the incident. Don’t kid yourselves, Burgerville in general, and especially THIS particular location is NODIFFERENT than any other restaurant. I will never be eating at Burgerville again. I have no idea how the shaver got into the food, but something is VERYAWRY if that was capable of happening there. God only knows what else is in their food. AVOID!

This team is exceptional. I am high maintenance and a little spacey– bad combo. I come here often– but today I ended up being careless when I ordered and the crew took great care of me. Highly recommend this BV simply because the staff is so kind.

I usually eat at Carl’s Jr for burgers but had a really good experience at a Park Rose /NE 122nd Burgerville and stopped in at the 92ndSE Powell Blvd, parked the car and had to call to see if they were open for dining in, they answered saying yes until 10pm.(they’re OPEN sign was turned off /I mentioned it to the cashier but no response) I ordered a bacon burger no cheese extra onions, extra tomatoes, extra pickles, no mayo, extra ketchup, extra mustard, large sized it, payed $ 10.49 turned around got the drink and sat down, BAM the food was brought out less than 2 minutes(WTF) They put cold cheese on the burger(which was good thing since I did not want it and was easy to remove it) the meat patty was just little warm, bacon was nuked so much it was barely noticeable but guess bacon is bacon, just a drop of ketchup and mustard and that was it, I smelled the meat patty and it smelled okay and I was hungry so I just ate it. As I was eating I did notice something odd, the girl who took my order was slowly wiping the small plastic baskets over and over again wasting time or looking busy, another girl was slowly sweeping the floor over and over again same spots over and over again just wasting time while the kitchen staff was cleaning the kitchen from top to bottom while handling bottles of cleaning spray bottles of what looks like Windex over food prep area, I immediately stopped eating wrapped everything up threw it away in the trash, went into the bathroom and hurled everything into the toilet. Wow, I should have heeded the warning sign when the OPEN sign was turned off, and also there were some local kids came into loiter and they just let them be, as they were leaving they were tinkering with the entry door latches, they did not care as if they’re there only to do little as possible, unless they replace with employees who wants to work and actually care about having a job, DO — NOT eat at this place! As I was throwing up only than I noticed the faint after taste of chlorine!

Best Burgerville in Portland because they have an EV Quick Charger that is consistently working. The Walla Walla Onion Rings are phenomenal! The service is quick and they always ask if I want the sauce, which vegans don’t want. This is so ECO Friendly Portland not to waste the Ranch on us.

So was just in Bv on the way back from the river with a friend. My friend really likes to stop there after a day in the sun and it in. Some guy w a baby stroller with baby Rams into my heel twice while I’m ordering and says my ass is hanging out of my shorts. Clearly he was intoxicated in some way, I tell him to stop and he says what will I do and I say I’ll call the police. At which time the Bv cashier says we will both have to go if we don’t settle down. The man is shuffling around and approaches my friend at I at our booth and starts going off about how I am rude ect. We tell him to walk away. He calls us faggots. My friend screams leave and pushes him. manager comes out and intervenes. Police called ect. I know this is a dicey location and the manager did eventually do the right thing but I don’t feel safe going there.

My weekly order is a bean burger and fries. The seasonal Rosemary shoestring fries are oily but onions ring are good.

Normally, I love Burgerville, but the wait at this location is terrible, and they always seem to mess up my order just enough that I don’t want to bother going back to fix it. For an almost $ 5 shake, it shouldn’t have a gradient effect(from not being mixed properly — after waiting more than 10 minutes for it) and it should have whipped cream. If it were a one time thing, no big deal, but this type of thing seems to happen all the time at this location.

OK, first of all, I do admire the Burgerville USA chain because they are a local area company that is committed to sustainable practices and locally sourced products. That’s great, but let’s discuss their food. I know some people make a big deal about how special and unforgettable their hamburgers are. Well, I think their burgers taste OK, but really aren’t that much different from most other fast food burgers. I can get a decent comparable burger at other places rather easily. However, the area where they REALLYSTANDOUT is the seasonal specials they have.. .especially fresh strawberry shortcakes, Walla Walla sweet onion rings, and fried asparagus spears. Today I went to my «home» Burgerville USA location at SE92nd and Powell to have my first strawberry shortcake of the season. It was wonderful. They usually make it with ice cream, but you can substitute with frozen yogurt if you’d like. I like that they make the shortcake using a biscuit(instead of pound cake) because I prefer the crumbly texture of a biscuit and how it soaks up the strawberry juices. An added bonus was that the guy asked if I wanted whipped cream on it too, and of course I did. Anyway, I see that their Walla Walla sweet onion rings will be available soon, so I’ll be back.

I love their food, but hate the drive through! Today I waited 10 minutes for a milkshake. Twice before — same thing! Why can’t a decent chain like Burgerville figure out a way to move the drive thru orders a little quicker?

Yes, there are many other– better– places for a milkshake, but there I was on Powell at I205 and there was BV. Then came the biggest decision I’d made in the last 10 minutes… chocolate/banana or chocolate/espresso shake. OOO but they have fresh strawberries too! Then brilliance hit me(only for a second) I asked.. could you? would you? put some strawberries in my chocolate banana milkshake? I waited for a pregnant pause, a stutter, a year long silence or maybe a confused Charlie Brown’s mother«waaha wa wa wa?» but no. the microphone said ‘Sure!’ gezzz a moly. Around to the window I went… could it be? Was it that easy? Did they have an easy button on the cash register? I thought this would confound them but no. out came my chocolate, banana strawberry milkshake ala almost a banana split in a cup. Oh yes, I was delighted. So I tried it again today in Vancouver but I MIXEDITUP A BIT… «could I get a chocolate banana shake with ESPRESSO in it?» «SURE» wala! who knew!!! Am I the last to know this? Dear lord, this knowledge will be a test for my jeans.

If you want good quality natural beef, chicken or fish in a drive-through your choice is Burgerville. Burgerville also supports and they purchase from local farmers. Only in the Pacific NW. The Burgerville burger spread is so good that they now sell it in jars. :-) The Walla Walla onion rings are delicious when they are in season. The quality of the halibut in the fish and chips and sandwich is better than most nice restaurants. The burgers are delicious as well. Shakes and smoothies are scrumptious, especially when berries are in season. Can’t go wrong here if you’re looking for fast fresh and natural in the drive-through.

Burgerville is great, don’t get me wrong. But this particular one is terrible. Good food, absolutely poor service and customer service. 20 minutes waiting for a Tillamook cheeseburger, before I finally asked for a refund. An apology was all I got. Not the first time this has happened. Definitely won’t be returning to this location.

I did not like BV at first. I was use to the flavor of other drive thru joints but now I I like how BV burgers have a natural flavor. They aren’t poisoned with the artificial flavors added to other drive thru food. I am also surprised how much I enjoy the bean burgers. I dont understand why people complain about the price. You’re only paying maybe an extra buck and you are getting more natural food, and supporting a local business and local farmers. I prefer Lil Big Burger or Five Guys for a burger but for a drive through, BV is the only place I go.

Quite possibly the best drive thru staff ever. I didn’t have to repeat anything, the operator listened to me, and did not interrupt(which is a HUGE thing for me). The food was super hot, fresh, and ready to go. Things that were supposed to be hot were hot, and things that were cold were cold. I really enjoyed the seasonal waffle fries! Amazing! Something that should be year round! Great job guys!

I feel lucky to not have experienced any of the problems the other Unilocalers posted. The drive through moved quickly. Did not wait long at the window to get the food. Lady seemed nice and helpful. The only thing I ask is they put an umbrella at the ordering box. I am sick of getting soaked everytime i want to order a tillamook cheeseburger.

Burgerville is really really good, but very expensive! I do like going on occasion. I spend a lot more. $$ at other fast food. Regardless they have a similar quality to Dairy Queen.

As a native my family has loved BV for as long as I can remember. I can’t say I’ll be in a hurry to continue going to this location. Almost every time we’ve come in the past year they’ve mad a mistake with our order, from forgetting the fries to giving us the completely wrong order more than once. Most recently I had to go back in for the correct order and while the employees were nice enough about it, they were slow and seemed confused. It took an extra five or ten minutes and by the time I got home and we sat down the eat, the food wasn’t warm. The cheese wasn’t even melted on the burgers even though they told me the wait was so they could fresh grill the burgers. If those burgers were fresh the cheese wouldn’t have been cold and hard. Very sad.

I’m starting to want to dump Burgerville, but I haven’t found a similar replacement yet. So expensive. Sodium-laden salads. Cardboard fries at lunch time. Teenage angst. Meh.
