Bubble Bubble Tea

Some of the best bubble tea I’ve had in forever! Great quality and smooth. There is a reason I pass by 5 other bubble tea places on my way to this shop.

I go here often whenever I’m in Fubonn and I want some milk tea. I actually really like their milk tea and lavender milk tea but sometimes the lavender flavoring isn’t dissolved all the way so I’d get little bits of sugar. Their green milk tea is also delicious. I also don’t get boba here, I get the pudding! It’s one of the places I go in Portland that actually offer pudding so I always get it. It’s really good in my opinion for some different textures!

The variety… so many. I look at the menu and my mind blanks every time. The girl waits patiently for my order. It’s only seconds but it seems like I’m taking forever. I want to try something new but I don’t want it to get too weird.
Brain short circuits.
Strawberry. Yes, tapioca. Smoothie? Yes, smoothie.
Whatever I ordered. It was tasted good. I’m relieved for some reason.
This happens all the time and yet, I keep coming back for more. The service has always been good for me. The wait time is reasonable.

Bubble bubble has the best bubble milk tea I have tasted in Portland. Their flavors are imported from Thailand helping to give the uniquely pleasant taste and texture of their drinks. The women who serve the drinks are always friendly, quick, and efficient. I highly recommend visiting anytime you’re in Southeast Portland.

I love this place! They’re the only place that I know that has pudding/​custard as a texture choice! My go-​to drink is the iced original milk tea with pudding and my husband who doesnt like any tea flavors is now a fan of this drink as well. Their other drinks and smoothies are good as well but I prefer to stick to the original. Also, their tapioca pearls here are a really good texture and don’t get hard too quickly in cold drinks.

Located inside Furbonn Shopping Center (the Marukai of Portland) The girl that was working was alright, she seemed like she did not want to answer all our questions. She quickly made our boba drinks and the milk tea I had was not that good. It was so watery and the tapioca balls had funky taste. Took a few sips and gave it to my cousin who is used to drinking Oregon boba drinks ha ha.

Not sure why the star rating us so low– their honey green milk tea is excellent! The boba is nice and squishy and green milk tea taste like tea!!! Can’t wait to come back to try their other flavors.

Bubble Bubble isn’t too bad. It’s not cheap, nor expensive. I normally don’t order the powder stuff and go for the black tea with lychee jelly. Some times my wife mixes it up for me and does both lychee and the tapioca balls. A nice piece of lemon would be nice.
The balls are chewy… I have to agree with some of the people here that the balls are probably better tasting if they were a little firmer. I understand that, firm balls taste good. You don’t want the sticky soft balls to be stuck on your teeth and whatnot. It’s so annoying having to pick those balls stuck between teeth.
I’ve had their frozen drinks with the balls before. The frozen drinks make my balls a little tougher to eat. But that’s my fault, I ordered a frozen drink. They are sure tough to eat to the point where you probably could use it as a weapon with that straw, like a blow dart.

Some times I with they add a little more ice to the tea. After a while it does go warm, and thus it makes the balls a little more… sticky? Eh, whatever, it’s edible and I’ve not choked on those balls or the lychee jelly.

This place is consistently good. I’ve been here maybe 15+ times and maybe only once or twice did I have a complaint about my bubble tea. In both cases, the mixture wasn’t dissolved enough but I suppose I could have just shook it a bit more. Service has always been pretty good and they are pretty quick and efficient. This place is also very conveniently located in the Fubonn Shopping mall. My only major issue with it is the place closes early! If you’re having dinner at So Kong Dong KBBQ or at the Phở place, don’t expect to swing by for a post dinner drink.

I’ve never been to any other Bubble Bubble Tea location so I can’t compare it to anything. I had a great experience here the other day. I was served right away and waited for my drink for only a minute. The price for the size is decent and it tastes pretty great too!

Hmmmmm… My balls were soft and chewy. Actually, this location made a better drink than the Beaverton location, so take that! Maybe I just came on a good day? I don’t know…
I drove here on my lunch, Unilocal said it was 4.6 miles from my office. I’m sure I could have found something closer but «Bubble Bubble Tea» is my favorite!
This place gets one star knocked down for location. Glad I read the reviews that this is actually inside Fubonn (sp?). Not like in the parking lot, but really in the middle of the market. I felt kinda weird in there, lots of open spaces for businesses. It was like an Asian swap meet!
With that said, I don’t know if I would make the drive JUST for a drink next time. If I’m in the area I’m sure I’d stop.

I am a self proclaimed bubble tea chick. Why you ask might ask? Not because I consume copious amounts… Although at times I do have more than I should, but because I was one of the original bubble tea chicks in Portland! As in I worked behind the counter blending up those tasty smoothies, shaking fab milk teas and cooking up them chewy balls for you lovely folks.
Bubble bubble tea has the right idea for tea drinks. I can’t comment much on their blended drinks because I tried it once a d it was a fail. However, their tea drinks are a definite win. They brew their tea strong! I appreciate being able to taste tea flavor instead of my drink being overpowered by the flavors that are added. I’ve had their iced flavored green and black teas, as well as their milk teas. All have been delish.
One of the only complaints I have really is that they will not do half-​half scoop for your add on like most other places do. Of you want bubbles and jelly you will be charged for both. One scoop of each. Sometimes you don’t want so much you know? Geeeeeez

I lived in Taiwan, home of bubble tea, for almost a decade. So I’m fussy about my bubble tea. These guys have got it down pretty dang good, all the way to the heat-​sealed plastic on the cups that you pop your straw through!

I come here whenever I am in town and the little Asian lady usually knows what I want. I come here pretty frequently; I almost always get the green tea milk tea bubble tea. Some days, the bubbles are better than other days depending on who makes it. I don’t like that the product isn’t always consistent. Sometimes the drink itself is a little watered down. However, I haven’t seen anywhere else that makes the green tea milk tea bubble tea here better. I can’t find a good bubble tea place anymore in Portland, but this is my favorite go to place.

Decent bubble tea located in a run down Asian strip mall! Service was friendly!

What his place has that many others lack is selection. They have so many variations that it is mind boggling. I have found that the bubbles (bopa) they use here are hit or miss. I have good and not so good. But no matter what the bopa are like, the drink itself if always good.

i was a big fan but not the bubble is not that good anymore. It’s kind of hard. I am a big fans of bubble tea and i have tasted a lot better.
Usually it should be soft and chewy yet very tender in mouth. They need to improve the bubble.
The taste of the milk tea is not that great also. I ordered grape milk tea and all i can taste is the milk tea no grape taste. Totally different from all the milk tea that i have ever tasted.
The only good thing from here is just the flavor tea (like passion fruit, etc) and with rainbow jelly (not bubble). But still not the best… Kind of a little bit disappointed. It used to be a lot better (like last two years). Now, not as good as it used to be

Sadly that quote reflects the truth. The tapioca here can be frozen or rather chewy in texture as Maritess has mentioned. Other than that, the bubble tea has a powdered artificial taste to it. There’s a few flavors that make the joint worth a try, but that’s exactly what they taste like. Flavored.
If you’re taking a friend along for their first boba excursion, try a place with more consistency… and then snicker when they tell you how much they LOVE the taste of the balls (of tapioca).

Iced cold Green Milk Tea with boba (tapioca balls) and jelly is a perfect drink on a hot day. I like the taste of it from this Bubble Bubble Tea, not too sweet and plenty of balls and jellies in your bubble tea.
It’s a bit pricey for bubble tea. I didn’t have one in a while, I guess now the market price for bubble tea is $ 3.50 per glass (including the extra jellies charge) and those yummy balls stucked underneath the ice cubes. You need some skills to drink this bubble tea, if you want to satisfy your balls needs.
