Brooklyn Center Suites

This is a perfect location to use as exploration point for Portland. It has all the amenities of home. Very clean and free parking. I’ll be back the next time I’m in Portland.

The quintessential Portland stay if you are looking for a cozy, clean and strategically located suite. I happened upon BCS while looking for an extended stay, not knowing a thing about the city. I stayed for a month while relocating and road my bicycle every where. Twelve minutes by bicycle to City Center, one block to the best latte in town, miles of trails along the Willamette River, which is close. What a wonderful introduction to Portland, and Jane is such a great ambassador and accommodating owner.

I stayed at Brooklyn Center Suites while attending a class at Bullseye Glass. It was conveniently located, only a mile from the facility. As I did not have a car, it was an easy refreshing walk every morning and evening. The room was quiet, clean and very comfortable. The owner was wonderful! She met me when I arrived to ensure I was comfortable with the room, showed me around the neighborhood, and even took me to get groceries and supplies for my stay, It was the royal treatment! The stay couldn’t have been nicer! I highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again!

Living in SE, just a couple miles from BCS, there aren’t many options for out of town guests needing a place nearby to stay. Certainly there aren’t any hotels closer than downtown and the standard B&Bs (mostly in the Hawthorne/​Division area) are popular and well known so book up early. I found BCS over the summer but didn’t end up booking a room until we had family coming for Christmas.
Before booking one of the two rooms I set up a time to meet Jane to view them and was pleased to find them tidy, well laid out with queen sized bed, bathroom and kitchenette. I immediately booked the room for four nights, happily putting down a deposit and agreeing to pay the balance before the reservation (since we wanted to cover the cost for our family).
At less than $ 90/​night (inclusive of all taxes, etc) it was a great value. Additionally, the family that stayed there was very pleased with the room and Jane provided great service throughout the experience. This included a call the morning of the arrival to let us know that there had been some slippery spots overnight, that they had been taken care of, but to take care the next morning, just in case. Jane also left a note to that effect in the room.
I’d recommend BCS to anyone looking for a room in this area of town.
