Barbara is a wonderful person and a marvelous technician. She is very patient with her clients working at the speed that you are comfortable. She is very concerned with ones tolerance level. There is some pain, which is normal for these procedures but it is well worth the outcome.
To top it off she is extremely friendly and a pleasure to be around. My sessions have been up to two hours in length but with the good conversation, time goes by quickly.

A few years ago I saw Barabara for nearly a year to take care of hair on my face and quite a bit in the chin area. Each session was 60 – 90 minutes and I went every six weeks (maybe even more frequently). It hurt quite a bit but she was nice and I kept making appointments.
At first she kept saying how she didn’t understand why my hair was being so stubborn and then she started saying she could see a lot of progress. I remember one day in particular when I walked out another woman was waiting to go in and asked me if I felt like the treatments were working because she didn’t feel it was working for her. All I could say was «well it seems in making progress» even though I shared her doubt as well. I can’t say whether Barbara was lying or not but it doesn’t really matter because it didn’t work… AT ALL.
Within a few months all hair had grown back and I still have to shave my face every single day. It doesn’t matter what age you are, but with me being in my mid-​20s (at the time I was early 20s) it’s just hard to be let down like this after wasting so much time and money. Just know that this does not work for very many people (if anyone at all). If you feel like it’s working I challenge you to stop for a few months and see if you still feel the same way. I remember feeling very let down by the whole situation because she led me to believe there was no way electrolysis wouldn’t work.

If you are looking for ‘permanent’ hair removal, this is the place to go. Barbara Feiling is an artist and scientist. She is very sensitive to the patient’s tolerance and adopts accordingly. My chin is 99% clear of post-​menopausal hairs now, and the upper lip is 80% clear. She can dial down the intensity of the needle to your tolerance. There is some pain with the procedure, but it is quite tolerable and so worth it for the results. This is the solution I needed and recommend!

Barbara is amazing. I had been seeing another electrologist for a couple years before coming to Barbara, and in 8 sessions I’ve seen more progress and less regrowth than I did in the entirety of those years. It’s been sort of incredible. It hurts a lot, I won’t lie, but then I do have pretty low pain tolerance, and really, the pain is temporary, and so worth it. I am seriously blown away by how effective she is.
