DONOTGOTHERE. THEYARECLOSED! I had made my reservations as per normal on Open table and received email confirmation back. Went there at 6 p.m. on 9⁄23 and they are closed! Security guy said they left about a week ago. I don’t know how else to let people know other than on Unilocal

I can’t even review the food or service because my reservation was cancelled BYTHERESTAURANT! I used their online reservation system to book a table for 4 on Thursday, Sept 24th. On the morning of the 24th, I received a message that«Bistro Marquee has canceled your reservation for 4». No call, nothing. How can you just cancel my reservation? I called no less than 20 times throughout the day and got their voicemail everytime which was full so I couldn’t even leave a message. I go to a show once per month at the Keller and would love to have eaten at the Bistro Marquee prior to the show, but not now. What a joke.

This place has been closed for a couple weeks now. Although you can still place reservations online, not sure what their story is but don’t use online to get your reservation.

I think for lunch and pre concert crowd, this place deserves a 4 stars. What I have noticed is that this place is always packed unless you are already there before the lunch crowd heads there around 11:30am. Because we were there when it opened, the service is impeccable and our waitress at the time was quite charming with an accent. I am not sure what happens when the place gets packed. We have gotten turned away here because we do not have a reservation. The food is pretty good. My friends at the time ordered their burgers and I got a taste of their fries and they were amazing. I on the other hand ordered salad and I thought this is pretty good, but then you can’t screw up salads too much. I know I am making this place sound mediocre but the atmosphere and the service makes it so it is not. This is one of those places that you are either going to love love love it or hate hate hate it.

Came here pre-show, as I imagine most of their clients do. The service started off a bit rocky, but once our server got into it everything was great. Our entrees were a bit so-so but the tiramisu at the end made up for it. So delicious. I want to come back just for that.

Sweet little bistro right next to the Keller Auditorium. We stumbled by here after the TEDx conf(SOAWESOME) cause the kids were craving«fat white noodles» at the sushi spot next door. They didn’t serve any at dinner time(boooo) so we hopped on over to Bistro Marquee cause they had prime outdoor seating and the weather was gorgeous. I hate myself for forgetting our server’s name(Jacob? Josh? Argh!) cause he was really sweet with our hangry kids and suggested great dishes. Ambiance outside is nice and casual — perfect for people watching, or for kids — ambulance watching(2 passed by while we were there). Not too many seats inside, but I’d suggest heading outdoors anyway, weather permitting of course. We all went family style on everything since my son wanted steak and fries, my daughter wanted noodles, and I wanted everything. In the end, everything got eaten, so yeah — the food was great! Kale Salad — ok i’ll have to agree with server J, it was pretty dang good. Not too much dressing, a bit heavy on the cheese crumbles, but overall awesome. Yes, it’s just a salad, but when it’s actually good? You have to review it. Mac n Cheese — surprisingly good. Another one of those spots that serves homemade tasting mac n cheese(with fancy cheese this time). A little on the oily side, but tasty enough for mom and dad to eat too. Porkstrami sandwich. Let’s be real. It tasted like a legit pastrami sandwich. If he had never told me it was pork, I wouldn’t have tasted a difference. Really good meat. Really good bread. REALLY good homemade sauerkraut. Really good. NY Steak. Yes — we DID order a whole steak cause my 3 yr old son wanted one. And he ate almost half of it too. Whatever I could pry away from him, hubs and I had and it was juicy and delish. Not to be a steak snob or anything, but it wasn’t cooked evenly(I asked for med well since my boy was sharing). It was definitely one of the juiciest NY steaks I’ve had. I may have been biased due to perfect outdoor seating weather and an awesome server, but we had a great meal here. A little on the pricey side, but decent for a good dinner. Might want to leave the kids at home next time though. No one likes room temperature steak! Well, except my carnivorous 3yr old.

Prime Location! This little bistro was a stop along my Portland adventure to the Keller Auditorium. Located just across the street. It was a perfect mix of not being too big, not too crowded, & a full bar. Brad your local bartender/entrepreneur was impressive. The food was fantastic! Huge salads, beautifully decorated deviled eggs, & some SERIOUS Hush Puppies! Ask your waiter Joshua about parking validation *winks*. Thank you for a fabulous night which included some delicious treats. See you again Bistro Marquee! Management asked my opinion on what I’d do to make things«flow». #1: Bar back(so necessary) #2: Staffing(hire someone who wants to keep their job) #3: Reward staff working evening shift 4÷17÷15

Lunch steak salad for $ 7.5(1 skewer) was a good deal, the meat was tender and seemed decent quality. The Beet Salad looked good, the Cobb not so much. Simple menu, very good dessert selection. Server was friendly, but very green. Business lunch crowd, Middle Age Nordstrom types. I think the restrooms are outside in the parking lot. …best Sushi in town just right across the courtyard.

The food is fine. The drinks are fine. The service is awful. I went for happy hour. My modestly sized group ordered two rounds of drinks, consisting of draft beer, the wine of the day, and a single cocktail happy hour special. We ordered fries and whatever dish is three tablespoons of nuts. Our server reminded us multiple times that because it was a theater night they were extremely busy; the sounds of her defeatist over-explanation echoed off of the four empty tables that surrounded us.

Happy hour with co-workers. Good food and reasonably priced. Nice place to get together after work.

Made a reservation on –line. When we got to the restaurant it was closed– even though posted hours indicated it should have been open. Not happy

It was a rainy day and I was craving something rich and heavy for lunch. I saw the name and thought«French food sounds perfect» and off to Bistro Marquee I went. The space itself is really cute. It does remind me of a typical bistro style restaurant. I sat at the bar. Wine selection and price points were out of this world. I had a small growler of the Pinot Grigio and it was more than 3 glasses worth of wine. I thought I needed a nap after my lunch. I ordered a Croque Monseiur for lunch. Was very good. All I really wanted was french onion soup and it wasn’t on the menu! Was a decent restaurant, but not exactly the typical french fare I was expecting.

Bistro Marquee has a great downtown location, cool storefront, and an excellent happy hour menu. There’s nothing I like more than sampling small portions of lots of dishes and Bistro definitely hit the spot for happy hour. We tried the fries, deviled eggs, spinach and artichoke dip, and shrimp with pork belly and grits. All were really great and it was just enough food for two. The fries were crunchy, salty, and delicious. The shrimp were large and paired nicely with the pork and grits. I got the happy hour beer which was an Ecliptic pale ale and it only cost me $ 3.50. Pretty good for downtown. They have a nice outdoor seating area up front. Great for a nice day. You could actually sit outside on a rainy day if it wasn’t too heavy as it’s mostly covered by a glass roof. It wasn’t super busy when I went but they had a handful of occupied tables. The food came out really quickly. The check took longer to get but the server was handling all the tables and the bar. I will definitely go back!

Reading the reviews my guess is that much of the satisfaction here is centered around whether a show is going on at the Keller. Mid summer on a Monday the area was quiet(dead is a more apt description). Our experience was a far more positive experience than some folks have had here. 1. Service: Awesome but for full disclosure there were 5 others in the entire place. 2. Atmosphere: Bright and comfortable 3. Price: Within in reason 4. Food: We only had some appetizers which were terrific. The artichoke dip is killer. We have lived 5 blocks away from the restaurant for the last seven years and never considered coming here. My guess is that we will be back.

Is the $ 12 burger(cheese is $ 2 extra) really worth it? The happy hour burger is discounted to $ 6 without cheese. The happy hour fries are $ 7.50 and are literally the size if 2 large fries at McDonalds. Are they great.Yes. don’t order the fries because a bigger pile comes with the burger. Btw…burger was amazing.

It’s always been a sort of ‘off’ location — tucked back from the street front in a part of downtown where you are most likely looking straight ahead at a string of brake lights and never even know that you missed seeing this place. I can’t recall how many different restaurants have occupied the space, but it seems like beau coup people have been trying to get this place rolling and it just sits there, removed and cold with its business building glass windows lending nothing to the exterior of the place — certainly not warm and appealing. The parking sitch is kinda different — you pay $ 5 and then when you go in and eat/drink they give you the $ 5 back. Seems easier to validate, so I’ll just scratch my head over that one. I can’t say that the food is bad, because when it arrives it tastes lovely — especially the small pieces of fried chicken, but it does take a lot longer than it ought to given how busy it was(not very). Bartender is personable and makes a tasty cocktail. Not sure we’re prepared to commit to dinner but for happy hour it’s acceptable. If they could work on speedy service it might be a 4.

Just, no. I have been here twice now, first time for lunch, second time for Portland Dining Month/Happy Hour. Both times, my entire party left hungry and unhappy with the food. Even the dessert was a disappointment. Who messes up crème brûlée? Apparently, this place. Save yourself the $$$ and go somewhere better.

I came here for Portland Dining Month and wow! Great service, amazing food and a wonderful atmosphere. Everything was perfect and what a great spot for easy parking as well! Their happy hour seems pretty incredible as well and my friend I dined with was blown away as well!

Great outdoor seating as well as inside. I stepped in for lunch and it was great. Service was great, prompt and not hovering. The food was very good, served promptly and the check brought at the appropriate time. All in all a great spot and perfect if you’re going to a show at the Keller. Both trips at lunch I had the Five Spice Chili Rubbed Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder Roast Sandwich. WOW oh my Goodness! It was awesome and huge, I might add. I removed the top bun and ate it like an open face sandwich. It was so very good. I ate the whole thing, sort of made a pig of myself, my friend took ½ home for dinner, but I wanted it all! It was served with a dressed fennel and apple slaw which was tasty, but also very refreshing. They advertise that their lunch menu is created to get you in and out in under an hour, which is perfect given the number of people in surrounding office buildings in the area. They live up to their reputation. Im going back for the Happy Hour one of these days!

Working in the exosphere of downtown, our food options are not great. It was tragic to see Carafe go. Mkt wasn’t there long enough to try it or miss it. Now there is Bistro Marquee, and my hopes are so high for something to stick around in this space and take care of us who are«downtown adjacent.» After indulging in a delicious oyster po boy with both slaw and romesco sauce today for lunch, I sincerely believe we have a winner in this space. The atmosphere is casual and bustling, with the added elegance of white table linens. I shared a bowl of mussels with my dining companions. It was just enough to taste a few each. Our server was happy to bring us bread to enjoy the buttery mussel broth left behind. In fact, our server was so gracious and kind. It was refreshing. Will definitely be back. I checked out the dinner menu while eating lunch, and I cannot wait to try the stroganoff, the duck confit, and the pork chop. Great addition to this part of downtown!
