Thank you Mariah for making our meal a pleasure. You are the perfect server even though you weren’t technically serving. Your outgoing personality will take you far. We know you will do well in your chosen career. Your new Arizona friends.

While the other reviews may dump on these brunch place, it’s my friends and I fav brunch spot. The berry pancakes are greattt and the servings are plenty. Also for a drink, defiantly get the hot coco with whip!

They actually have good food, but the service is terrible need to hire many more servers. I shouldn’t have to ask for a coffee refill repeatedly or even the check. Update — going downhill– food and coffee. Will not eat here again.

This place has been consistently bad since it opened. I have encountered frozen sausage, raw eggs, over cooked eggs, tasteless sausage, bad waffles, and dirty dishes. They obviously use the cheapest of everything. I avoid them but my kitchen is torn up, and they are close. It had been over a year, and always crowded, so thought I would try again. I again was disappointed. Why does anyone eat there regularly??? Never again. It’s throwing money away.

We tried them again on a Sunday. Being crowded is fine; I like people. BUT: 1. The wait staff were moving very slowly, chatting with each other etc — which frustrates those who are waiting. 2. There were clearly several open tables but people were being seated very slowly. 3. Our food arrived cold. Getting cold food was the worst part. These are management issues… the menu choices are fine, its how the place is run. Their managers need some training. Kevin S.

It was a crowded Saturday brunch. Service was very slow. Its primarily a brunch place, so I expected slightly better service at brunch. We had some french toast and brisket Benedict. Food was good. At the end we waited for more that 20 mins for check, we asked one of the employees to send us someone with the check. It took very long time, finally we walked up to someone, paid cash and left. Its a nice place, with good food and warm ambiance, we will visit again. But, hopefully next time we will get better service. :)

Biscuits has lost our family’s business due to repeated horrendous service, which is a shame as the food has been good. Today was the last straw, we were seated well before the after church rush and it took over an hour to be served. When we were first offered coffee 10 minutes in we had wait 10 more minutes for the server to come back so we could get spoons to stir the coffee. I had to ask 3 times before the server brought the orange juice I ordered. When the food finally came my wife’s sandwich came with bacon on it despite clear«no bacon» instructions at time of ordering. I observe lots of kids working here, but clearly not managed well or even a visible manager. When I paid at the counter and when asked«how was everything» and replied«terrible service, we’re not coming back» I was not asked what happened nor did the teenager at register offer to get the manager. Very poorly run operation Ed & Barbara. As fast as you can is woefully inadequate.

This place is ridiculous; going going. The owners leave the place in the hands of people who don’t do their job. I watched two families leave all because they we seated at tables that had crumbs all over them. The floor we were walked across was sticky and food on the floor. So sad the place and visiting families used to be so well cared for.

We went here at 11am Dec 24th. It was busy and we were seated within 5 min. We got our drink order in quickly by a very helpful woman; she was not our waitress. The waitress showed up asking if we had decided; only a minute after we sat. We asked her to come back– which she did 10 min later… We got the food in another 10 min later. It was okay– scrambles and omelettes. Frankly– it was all incredibly bland. The one true disappointment was the horrible hollandaise sauce. Fortunately my wife ordered it on the side of her $ 12 avocado Benedict. The sauce tasted of gravy/grease and most certainly from some mix rather than fresh egg yolks, butter and lemon. We agreed that this would be it for us and biscuits(our 3 visits over 2 years). We live close enough to NW Portland that the drive to better restaurants makes it worthwhile.

Terrible service. Extremely rude staff. Got the entire To go order wrong and when we called in to call in the missing items was told that we didn’t know what we ordered. When we asked to get what we were missing they laughed and then told us the manager was unavailable. Spoke to another person who was clearly not a manager, after we said we would go pick it up at a different location. He said okay, laughed and hung up. Will never go to this location again.

The food is okay. I will say the crunchy French toast is good. The reason for my low rating is that the restaurant was absolutely filthy. The floors were sticky and covered in dirt and scraps of paper and garbage. I was there on a weekday around 11. They had 4 tables outside, one of which was occupied. The other 3 were empty but hadn’t been bussed. We requested a table outside and had to wait for one to be bussed. When we sat down it was still dirty and had crumbs of food on it. Hadn’t even been wiped down. They didn’t bother to bus the table right next to us until another person wanted to sit there about 20 minutes later. We had to eat our meal while looking at the stacks of dirty dishes in the other table, which attracted a ton of bees. I would prefer to go to elmers or IHOP down the road. The food is comparable and the others are much cleaner. The upside to biscuits is the outdoor seating option.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always pretty average. Breakfast food mostly. I would recommend coming earlier than you think you should cause there’s usually a wait to get seated or for your food. Employee’s aren’t the friendliest but nothing horrible.

The food was fine but it was breakfast. How hard is it to make breakfast? Not very… So why is this place so expensive? We went once and likely won’t go again.

Good food. Bad service. It’s slow. It takes a while to get a seat. Then it takes a while to get service. Don’t go there super hungry as you will be waiting for a long time before you even place your order. Nice servers. Slow service. The food is good but not great.

My wife and I went to breakfast on a moderately busy Sunday morning. After a short 15 minute wait we were seated and had our drink orders taken. We received our drinks 5 minutes later(a bit of a wait for drinks), then sat around for another 10 or so minutes for the waitress to take our orders. After our order was placed we waited 60 minutes(!!!) for our food, at which point I went to flag the waitress down. When she saw me she literally did a 180 and ran away. I sat down befuddled and waited a minute before she came back and asked us what we ordered. It turns out she completely forgot to place our order with the kitchen. We ended up walking out an hour and a half after arriving without ever getting a bite to eat. This place needs a major management change.

Went in there yesterday with my daughter. First, we get seated, then sat there for about 10 minutes until someone came up. Rather then offering us beverages, they just asked what we wanted to order. I ordered a Reuban with fries. She took the order, then about 15min later the food came; with our drinks finally. The rueban was probably the worse I’ve ever eaten. I ate about ¼ of it and then quit. The Corned Beef was chewy, gummy and very bright which makes me think it wasn’t cooked all the way. I pulled it out and noticed that the fat was lined straight at the end, with the meat as well. It looked processed. It was horrible. I put the plate with almost all of the sandwich on the end of the table. Not that it mattered because nobody even walked by and inquired on how we were doing, or how the meal was. Finally, after my beverage was finished I grabbed my daughter and we went up to the front to pay. The lady didn’t even asked how the food was. I was planning on telling her but she just said $ 22.49 please. After I paid, she popped the receipt in the register and then walked off without a word. Horrible. Will never frequent this place again.

We have hit other locations and we are glad this one is nearby. Not to mention they seem to have more seating. Which is a good thing. It is always nice and clean here. We are always greeted quickly and sat within reasonable amount of time. The Breakfast offerings are very good. I have to give props to any place that puts a Monte Cristo down on the menu. I havent tried the one hear, but i have heard good things. They have some simple lunch fare here as well. My daughter tends to prefer lunch to breakfast, so its good to have the option. The Hot chocolate my kids ordered was tasty, not to mention LARGE lol. My son inhaled his chocolate chip pancakes. My daughter enjoyed her egg and hashbrowns which is rare for her. All in all the few things we have tried here and at other locations have been good. I can only say if you hit them in a rush, be prepared to wait. But i think good food is always worth a little wait. About the only negative thing i would say is they seem to be a bit spendy. Honestly we went to a old chicago the day before, got 2 kids menu items, and 3 apps for us all t share, several drinks, and spent $ 3 less. It may not sound like much, but when you figure this was just breakfast, for 2 adults, and 2 kids, i think its a little off if i spend more on breakfast than i do for a dinner with leftovers. Keeping in mind, i like it here, and i keep coming back. So that should say something right? =)

I felt that Biscuits Café was an excellent café with a hometown suburban feel. The biscuits, jam and butter were absolutely delightful! The service was great and attentive. There is only one complaint I had though. The cheese was not evenly distributed through the omelette I had. Other than that, it was all perfect.

I actually really like this place. As everyone knows, all of the really great breakfast joints are in Portland, not in the suburbs. But this is a heck of a lot better than going to a national chain breakfast(although this is a local chain). I like both breakfast and lunch here… they have actual hash browns that they serve CRISPY, which I think is hard to find. You often get mushy hash browns. I like the biscuits and I like their freezer jam. They serve margarine with their biscuits though, which grosses me out. The omelettes are good — plenty cheesey and lots of toppings. Service is just average. I don’t recall it ever being particularity horrible or particularly amazing. But the kitchen is generally pretty fast so it doesn’t take too long to eat here. It definitely gets crowded by 10 or 11, but no line at all if you go early on the weekends. Parking is a breeze(do I even need to mention parking in a review for a place in the suburbs?). Tip: join the rewards program! They give you $ 5 off for birthdays, anniversaries, and just randomly throughout the year they seem to send out $ 5 rewards. Plus if you spend X number of dollars you get a $ 5 reward that way also(I can’t remember what X is).

We thought we’d try it again. We had an hour for breakfast on our way to Cinetopia, so we hopped in here for breakfast. Then we stood in a line for ten minutes watching the host at the register babbling about somethingorother with a customer who was paying his bill. There were two guys ahead of us, and several empty tables. An older man came in behind us and cruised by us to ask to be seated. huh? Apparently, only certain people are allowed to seat people, so we had to wait for a purple shirted server… we flagged down a young kid in a red shirt but he was wiping off tables, etc. and although he tried to help us, that wasnt his job. Sigh. Biscuits menu has changed a little since we were here last, I think it’s less complicated. The food, for the most part, was better. We got a table, ad ordered as quickly as we could. Kid didn’t like the kid’s menu ($ 3.99) so I let her choose from the mix and match three for $ 7.49. She chose buttermilk pancakes, sourdough toast, sausage patties, and chocolate milk.($ 2.49). Sh really didn’t make much of a dent in the pancakes but ate the rest plus half her dad’s bacon. We know better than to order coffee. Husband had juice, BIL and I had water. Husband had Belgian waffle combo with bacon(crispy not burnt) and scrambled eggs. He said everything was fine. I had two poached eggs(When she asked me soft, medium or hard? I ordered them soft and they were perfect), wheat toast, and turkey bacon, all fine. It came with some strawberry jam, that was yummy. BIL ordered the turkey vegetable scramble($ 9 and change) which I wish I’d heard him order or I would have told him not to. It comes with turkey deli meat, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes… it’s always watery. His was watery today. He said his potatoes and rye toast were good. The scramble made him sad. Not every place does veggie scrambles well. Poor BIL. So, it was better than our last visit, heartening, but still not our favorite. Still a 2.5… BTW, we got our coffee at Cinetopia. They have espresso. Not great espresso, but not bad.
