The Prime Club on their cheesy garlic bread was awesome! I added light honey mustard and it was perfect. The bread is amazing too… I never knew how big of a difference that makes until I ate here. They make their bread fresh everyday and the cheesy garlic bread has 4 kinds of real cheese in it. When I was talking to them about the bread, I also found out that they donate all of the leftover bread to the local food bank at the end of everyday. WOW! Making things fresh is important, using real ingredients also means a lot to me, their charitable donations is very cool in my book too, and the delicious sandwiches are the icing on the cake! For these reasons I am giving them 5 stars… keep up the good work! :)

My sandwich was ok … The service was slow and ridiculous. Honestly I was the only person inside the place and it took the girl working there who was by herself almost 15 minutes to make my sandwich. No apologies for taking forever or anything. And it is overpriced. I paid way too much for the sandwich I bought. It was not worth my time or money. Will never go back. Like ever.

Only decent part of the sandwiches I’ve had here on my first two visits, ordering two different sandwiches, was the bread. That being said the bread was ok/decent other than that lettuce seemed to be the main ingredient in the sandwich and was shredded. The amount of meat was minimal at best and was no better quality of meat than cheap lunchmeat from a grocery store. If I didn’t have one more coupon I would no return here again but after using the last coupon I won’t return, coupon or not. There are many other GOOD sandwich shops in the area.

I’ve been to Big Town Heroes in other areas and the food is pretty much the same here. The sandwiches are okay(nothing special, but edible). This place gets one star for the unfriendly staff, the slow-as-molasses service and the fact that none of the employees making the sandwiches were wearing gloves. The not wearing gloves things just grosses me out. I’d love to have faith in humanity and think that perhaps these employees are incredibly germ-o-phobic or health conscious, but I just don’t have that sort of faith(please see recent NY Times article about how only 5.3% of people studied washed their hands somewhat properly: ). Hand hygiene when serving food = must. I’d rather not get E. coli from a sandwich.

I’m super bummed, b/c I’ve already really loved this Big Town Hero. I used to work in the area and even though I don’t anymore, I’ll travel out of my way to come to this BTH b/c the others in town pale in comparison. But I don’t know if they have new management or the new sandwich maker isn’t well trained, but their sandwiches as of late have been awful. Twice I came in and asked for oil and vinegar but instead got olives and red onions. When I finally called to complain, they didn’t apologize or offer a refund or a free sammy. I did communicate that I expected it, though. So I went back in today to get my free sandwich and I don’t know if they are punishing me for calling on the crappy sandwich but this one was on stale bread. Now, big town hero bread is the BEST! Always soft and malleable. Delish! but today it’s hard as a rock. I’m not going to bother to call and complain as it’s not worth a trip out there to get yet another poorly made free sandwich. I’ll just say, that this place used to be really good and the last 3 out of 3 sandwiches have been awful. I will not be returning.

Great food, too bad the manager/owner always seems so unhappy to see customers. If the older woman is not cut out for the nuances of being in the customer service field, perhaps she should find something else that better suits her. This last time I was in, there was a woman placing her order that obviously shared my same feelings towards the employee/manager, going as far as to ask for the owners name and number to complain about her lack of unfriendliness, and her seemingly contempt attitude towards customers. I quietly waited my turn to order, but it was at this point I realized that that would be my last visit to that location, too bad, because it was close, convenient, and good food.

Without a doubt, the best sandwich shop that I’ve found yet. Awesome bread! I can’t say enough about how soft and fresh the bread is. It really is a significant differentiator compared to other sandwich shops. My oldest daughter even glowed about the place totally independent of me, so it’s not just me in the family who thinks highly of the place.

I like big town hero. This location serves the industrial park that’s nearby so if you happen to get there exactly at noon you will be waiting in line for a while to get your sandwich. Try their Turkey Bacon Avocado or their Cranberry Turkey sandwiches-those are both amazing. They also have good hot Panini sandwiches. The space is a little small but that the lady who owns this location is really nice and she even remembers your name when you come in.
