BELFOR Property Restoration

Belfor was called in July 2015 to make repairs to our rental property that had a water leak that had been occuring for sometime and not reported to us. The original timeframe of work being completed in about 3.5 weeks. Well now we are into December and they still have yet to complete their work. I have called, emailed and apparently my $ 25,000 approx job isnt enough of imprtance to them to take care of the issue and get the work completed. I have sent numerous emails and left several voicemails and response is next to zero. To complicate things even more– since we decided to sell t his residence, that closing is currently set for Friday Dec 18^th, it will be a miracle they ge tteh work completed. I’m not holding my breath and would highly «NOT» recommend this company.

We had a massive house flood in March. Within two hours of calling our insurance, PEMCO had sent BELFOR out to help us. They moved a whole team in and spent the entire week getting things set up to dry out the flood areas, remove damaged items and pack up things that needed to be stored. They were kind, considerate and hard working. They continued to have team members at our house for the next couple months to take care of everything that went with mitigation of the flood damage. There were a couple small dings that happened to items during our tear out, but if you saw how much had to be torn out of our house — going down to subfloor and studs — you would be impressed with how cleanly and smoothly it was done. The only thing I wasn’t fully satisfied with was the electronic cleaning, which is done by a separate party, but everything else was handled professionally and competently. It made all the difference having knowledgeable, courteous people in our house to help right away after the unexpected disaster. We feel very fortunate to have worked with PEMCO and Belfor for our flood mitigation and restoration.

Over promise and under deliver, so quick to charge thousands of dollars, but when it gets down to business they are quick to cut corners and delay on every little step. Very frustrated and disappointed!

The WORST part about having a house fire is having to work with Belfor Restoration to get our house back to the way it was. They have broken personal property, told us our house was messy before the fire as an explanation for why they mistreated our property and now are accusing my dog for damage to a brand new floor which occurred while my dog was being cared for with relatives. They are hostel, unprofessional and completely incompetent. My insurance company has been charged way to much for a poor, poor job.
UPDATE; After the battles and involving Sheldon the CEO we were able to get the job back on track and although we are still dealing with issues they are willing to help again and trying to make it right. Most customers would not go through what I did to get here, but if you do it may work out ok. So I am changing my review up a star.
