The owner is a condescending bitch who talks down to her staff and her customers. The bead selection is okay the store is Un organized and looks as if shit has just been shoved everywhere. The prices are better at village beads or craft wearhouse. The girl who helped me
(lots of facial piercings and fun to chat with) is sadly no longer there but she was one of the nicer staff I have come across at bead «happy» your better off taking your business some where else.

Bead Happy has a pretty limited selection of beads. Also, the prices aren’t great. I like that I can get Swarovski crystals by the each. I’m not sure who the owner is, but I can guess by the way she speaks to the other employees, as if they’re stupid.
If you want a great selection of beads & supplies go to Belladona Beads on N Lombard. I could spend days in there and never get bored. Great service, too. Ask them about Mimosa Saturdays! A great way to shop & meet other kindred souls. :-)

I’ve been to four different places in Portland looking for a selection of seed beads. This store has a good selection, better than what I’ve been able to find so far.
I can’t speak to the selection otherwise, in terms of jewelry making supplies since I was specifically looking for seed beads.
The only reason I’m giving it 3 stars is that the girl who waited on me was completely clueless. She didn’t even know what a beading loom is, even though they have one in the store. But she was nice enough, just not very experienced. Prices are just OK.

I like to stop in and browse. A wide variety and selection, though there is a lot I would never use except for cutesy kids pieces.
I feel like they are slightly over priced on some things, compared to other online suppliers. But hey, it’s locally owned and the owner is very nice and knowledgeable.
Located next to Harbor Freight and Grocery Outlet.

Lots of stock!
Lots of classes.
Very competitively priced!
Terrifically friendly staff, I think I met both of the owners and they were super friendly and even offered me the use of their classroom for friendly gatherings.
I would highly recommend a trip up McLoughlin for a visit to this bead filled wonderland.
