This store tries but it’s very expensive. Twice I’ve gone into Bales to get something for a special meal and left. And it’s not a general grocery store– I call it an expensive Quik-​Stop. A quick stop to get a few things you need.
When Bob did the nursery it measured up to any commercial nursery. Now the plants are just the regular plants sold at any grocery store. I miss Bob.
It would be great if Bales could return to as a community grocery store, rather than try and be a New Seasons or Zupans. And another high end Market of Choice is being built near by. Someone has to be the regular store.

I was all excited to order flowers for my mom because she lives and teaches near by. I live in California, and I send flowers to her often so this seemed like a perfect local match. I got her a nice orchid arrangement with a balloon to be delivered to her school. Not only was the delivery left outside on a Friday but there was no ballon. So by the time she received the flowers half were wilted. Not going to use them ever again!!!
