I recently moved to Portland and was in need of a good tax preparer. Having been to many other tax preparing establishments before, I’ve grown very skeptical. So many of them take no time to really sit down and help you get all the deductions you are entitled to. They want you to pay them hundreds of dollars to basically fill out tax forms for you. This may be fine for someone who just has a 1040EZ and is nervous about filling it out wrong, but for someone like me who is self-​employed and has an office and a rental home and business expenses, things get complicated fast and I need someone who knows the tax laws thoroughly. David is definitely top notch. He knows his stuff. He took the time to go through and answer all my questions and pointed out many deductions that I was entitled to that other tax preparers had overlooked. I am now a lifetime client of his.
