Allen & Coles Moving Systems

I was being relocated from Boston to San Diego and chose Allen & Coles for the big move. They are well organized, reputable company that did a great job with my move. I even had my truck hauled across country too. Greg was my main contact throughout this move. He was really good to work with and was always upfront and answered any questions I had during the move. He even called me to let me know that my EZ-​Pass should be cancelled before he drove across the country in order not to incur any toll fees. The little things like that made me feel like things were going to go well. There was one hiccup during the move as my TV stand for my big screen TV was accidentally misplaced and sent to New Mexico. Greg was upfront and honest about the mistake, took ownership and had it sent to my new apartment in San Diego within a week at no additional charge.

I have had nothing but problems with this company. If you are storing items, they are NOT climate controlled but will advertise as such to get your business. Climate controlled to them means that they have heaters which they never turn on, only to make it appear like they are providing that level of service. When my things were delivered, I had a number of things damaged — sofa, antique secretary with a broken leg, dining chairs, refrigerator… the list goes on. And I’m still dealing with the claim months later. If you want people to handle your items with care then do NOT use Allen & Coles. There are much more reputable vendors out there that will handle your items correctly.
