My 11-year-old and I are totally bonkers for All-Way. First, the burgers are a consistent thickness, properly cooked and delicious, not like the lumpy, runny, sloppy, thick-ass, f’d-up heinous mess you get at places like Lardo. The chicken sandwich is great too — grilled and with a nice spicy sauce. It’s also adorable inside(there’s one of those fun little electric«fireplaces»!), and the service is super friendly. Reminds me way more of Culver’s in the midwest than In ‘n Out, and that’s a very good thing, especially fries-wise. We only had one minor gripe, which is the buns are a bit too dense and hefty(not necessary for such well-proportioned and nondrippy burgers), but we think we’ll remedy that next time by ordering doubles.

I was among the other vultures who came to feast on All Way’s champion burger for only $ 5.00! Of course, being the greedy goblin I am, I added in some onion rings and a lavender soda. Excellent move, because the onion rings were fried to perfection and the dipping sauce made them pop even more. The soda was strangely tasty; my taste buds could not make an intelligible decision. Service was great, especially since I had previously experienced service so crappy I almost have up on Burger week. I will most certainly come back again and urge you to give this place a try.

If you’re looking for a good, tasty, fast lunch, this is the spot! It took us a while to find the place but just look for the dark colored building and go right inside. It’s a two story restaurant where you order your food upstairs and pay right there and then. Easy menu so ordering was a breeze. The seating is wonderful; retro-red sofa looking seats and the wait for your food is reasonable. The food itself was delicious! Next time I will try a shake since I opted to try it today. But everything looked appetizing. Will be back.

Burgers, fries and lavender soda? Count me in. I’m on a bit of a lavender kick and finding this gem hidde. On their menu was a huge bonus. Plus, it actually tasted good! The burger and fries were scrumptious — the fries came in an artfully designed dish. Honestly, those were the two most memorable parts of the meal. Oh wait — the onion rings(not usually my bag) were also delicious. My foodie coworker was quite satisfied. The décor — the diner and soda shop theme — didn’t feel super overdone. And the upstairs bar means they probably host a decent happy hour. I would

Add this to the vegan’s list of downtown spots. Friendly and helpful staff and fair prices for the quality of food prepared.

I’m am adult who doesn’t really care for alcohol. So when I saw the prerequisite for enjoying happy hour, I was a bit put off. Having said that, what I ordered was really tasty. For what I paid… I’d be hard-pressed to say it was of great value. I ordered a 2-patty All-Way + provolone, a side of o-rings and a lavendar-lime soda. A great meal at a decent price. ** Whoever said these burgers resembled In-and-Out burgers was right on. But heck, they don’t taste anything like ‘em and for what it’s worth, I could’ve purchased 3 – 4 of those fast food baddies for the price if my meal today.

Just ate the special of the day — bacon, blue cheese, and onion ring – how can you go wrong? Good burgers made great with quality ingredients and an obvious attention to detail. They have a full bar with house made drinks and a friendly staff to serve them to you. Do yourself a favor and search out this burger gem in downtown PDX. Also, there is a smart park around the corner, if you’re driving it’s the only way to keep yourself from pulling out your hair trying to find a place to park.

Good standard burger and the fact that you can have a beer is a bonus. The fries are served pomme frites style. They weren’t really awesome fries… kind of an after thought but presentation was cool.

One of the best tasting burgers I’ve ever had. It’s a small hole in the wall kinda joint playing music from the 80’s. Big fluffy comfortable booths. Easy to miss while walking down the street. Btw. They use real bacon on there burgers. Not that microwave or plastic tasting trash you normally get at most places. The onions on the burger are grilled … Yummy. Onion rings are crispy. But not hand battered on premises. In hindsight I wish I would have chosen the fried. Fountain drinks are limited. No diet coke on tap only RC Cola. Price for sgl hamburger, onion rings and drink. $ 11.50 plus tip.

YUM! Great burgers! Great vibe and excellent service. These guys know how to make a mean burger. We shared some fries and onion rings. Both are awesome! Burgers have what appears to be homemade buns and house sauce.

A small, tucked away classic burger joint that leaves the fuss on the side, All-Way is exactly the type of place that deserves to be eaten at 3:00AM, as you drunkenly rub elbows with the full cross-section of randoms that would be downtown and hungry at that unreasonable hour. Unfortunately, they close at 10:00. So what did we do to fix this error in scheduling? Got ourselves just hammered by 8:00. Moral of this story? Sorry for the fuzzy details. Hidden on SW Broadway in an unassuming doorway and up a flight of stairs, All-Way is all red vinyl seats, dim lighting and throwback style. Order at the counter and pick yourself a seat and just soak in the atmosphere. There’s not much that I recall about the food, other than that it was damn good, particularly in our state. I snagged a few of my friends’ onion rings, and those too were definitely on point. Everybody at our table agreed that All-Way made reliably great burger-shack food at a surprisingly low price. I’ve spent about this amount of money at a Burger King in the past, and I can assure you this tastes better than any fast food you’ll find. The only thing that seems weird about this place are the hours. It just makes ZERO sense that this place isn’t open late. If I could come here after a night of drinking, in my mind All-Way would be damn near iconic. Instead, it’s just a really good place to get an easy burger.

Rumors has it that All Way burgers resembles the famous In-N-Out burgers. Being from Seattle, I was very excited to see if this lives up to the hype. I had the classic all-way, fries, wings and a chocolate milk shake. The burgers are very basic, served with American cheese, lettuce, onions, pickles, and their house spread. Similar to In-N-Out, you can customize how many patties(up to 3) you want(two-way or three-way). PROS: Ambiance: The red pleather booths gives off a very retro, unique, 80’s theme. The abundance of booths are cozy and very comfortable. Food: The shoestring fries are probably my favorite item here. The fries are seasoned well and not overly salty. The portion size is pretty generous, one serving can easily feed two people. Price: Very reasonable prices. $ 1 off during happy hour. Their burgers starts off at $ 4.75, deals! CONS: Location: The location was hard to find. I walked up and down the block and missed it twice. The All-Way sign was rather small and hidden. Food: The classic burger was just alright. The thin patty is charred on the outside but a bit over cooked. At least it wasn’t too greasy. It was also sort of bland, I didn’t taste much of the house spread. The wings were also okay. Even though they were very juicy and plump, they lack seasoning. Overall, it was a decent burger but does not compare to In-N-Out.

I remember when, I remember, I remember when I lost track of time There was something so classic about that place Even review stars have a twinkle In cyberspace And when you’re the son and the heir Of nothing in particular Yeah, I was out of touch But it wasn’t because I go about things The wrong way I just feast furious Does that make me 2 Way? Does that make me 3 Way? Does that make me All-Way? Morrissey And I hope that you are Unilocaling the time of your life But post nice, that’s my only advice Come on now, Way Big Wings, Way Big Wings, Will take you far Afraid deep fried will take its toll Rings and Shoestrings, will save your soul Well, I think you’re Sideways I think you’re Greenway I think you’re All-Way Just like me Savoy had the nerve to forge ahead, sink or swim And all I remember is thinking, I want to follow them Ever since Rorschach, ever since Rorschach, I had opinions And when it comes time to bang the drum I can tell everyone Maybe I’m Half-Way Maybe you’re Wrong Way Maybe we’re All-Way Simplicity Gnarls Barkley to gnaw gnarly

What a fun place! Our friend was visiting from the bay area and wanted a burger — Dang this place is tasty! Each of us had a burger, a coke, fries and/or onion rings. The service was great, even though they were unexpectedly slammed. The burgers taste really good, and come on a grilled bun that stays together through the whole meal, the shoestring fries stay warm in the tin cup they’re served in, and the onion rings are delish. The menu has some decent vegetarian options, but for the most part, expect this place to be just like an old drive in from your childhood. The only downside — while we were there, only the upstairs area was open. Would be nice if there was better seating for groups.

After reading about this place, i hopped on the max and made my way to pioneer sq area to give it a try. I had the two way burger with no sauce. The burger was very good with a nice buttery steamed bun. I would say it is similar to in-and-out. It was around $ 4 or $ 5 which is cheaper than five guys and tasted much better. All burgers include american cheese. Real cheese is an extra $ 1. Fries were ok. The décor is weird. I was never in the previous establishment and i read that they kept the booths. I don’t have an affinity for vintage. It would perhaps fit in on se hawthorne, but i would prefer a little more modern. It had parquet floors, white walls, dark wood, red booths, and a big mirror. Weird. On the day i visited, their computers were down and they were only going to serve us if we had exact change or close to it(again weird — turning away people???). In summary, i would definitely get another burger if i was in the area. The place is weird, but so is portland. Enjoy.

What a cool lunch spot! A few coworkers and I stopped in for lunch today, and I’m glad we did! One thing about working downtown, we are not short on over priced trendy restaurants. However, we are short on cool classic diners that are priced appropriately. Not to mention, they have my favorite, «order your food, pay at the counter, wait for them to bring you your food, and leave whenever you want» setup. It’s simple, and it saves so much time! It’s truly the perfect place to go when you’re with a group of coworkers. No splitting checks for us today! This place is also surprisingly roomy — it’s two stories with plenty of comfy red booths! It’s not uncommon to spend $ 8 – 10 at a cart where you either have to eat in the rain or sprint back to the office. I don’t mind usually but sometimes you want to get out of the rain and have a burger AND beer for about $ 10. I got the All-Way burger two-way(2 patties — $ 5.75 but one patty is only $ 4.50) with no sides and a beer(only two on draft — $ 5), and I was full and happy. My friends tried different combos and added sides etc. but like to keep it simple. All-Way has canned beer, mixed drinks, 2 draft beers, burgers, a fish sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, a veggie option… And more but I stopped reading after I found what I wanted, sorry. Think diner. Think simple. Think laid-back. Think fast quality food at a reasonable price. It’s a winner! The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is I’m not sure the draft beers on tap today(HUB Lager and Fort George Vortex IPA) needed to be $ 5 a glass. If I can get beer at Bailey’s Taproom for $ 4(some«special» beers at $ 5 – 5.50) there’s no reason these two need to be $ 5. They’re pretty basic. Tasty but not super special or hard to come by. Depending on my mood, I wouldn’t think twice about buying two Vortex IPAs at $ 4 each maybe $ 4.50 each, but I do think extra hard about even buying one HUB lager for $ 5. It’s strange but I can’t explain why. Their mixed drinks were $ 5 which I thought was reasonable but not $ 5 for a HUB lager, that’s for sure. I will definitely go to their happy hour though for a discount on my draft beer.

All Way Burgers and concept is good, once they fix their mistakes. Although, somewhere it’s mentioned they go for the«in n out» style — they taste nothing like in n out. This is fine too since their burgers taste good on their own. Pros: Burgers taste good and prices are reasonable(really reasonable actually) Big bun, some protein, chopped onions and thousand island dressing + pickles. Pickles taste homemade and are really good. Fries are small, shoestring type. Cons(have contacted owners but, they have yet to address some of these) The vegan patty is chewy, a bit strange. they should work on their Vegan burger and perhaps give it another iteration. The wheat buns. OMG the wheat buns suck. they should just get rid of them or make them completely optional. Unfortunately, the vegan burger comes with this as default and ruins the burger completely. They are horrible. However, if they feel like offering them don’t make them the default buns. Sadly when they run out of their tasty Brioche buns they just switch to these. Onion rings were bad. 10% onion, 80% batter, and 10% grease. They need to get rid of them or make them at least decent. I see potential, if they heed some of my advice

Does it taste like In-n-Out? I wouldn’t know. I’m from Ohio, where«animal style» refers to the rabid level of fandom toward our college football team, the Buckeyes. It did taste damn delicious, though. I came in on Black Friday, and for something like $ 20 got two fantastic juicy burgers(one regional special, one single + bacon), a generous side of golden shoestring fries, a beer, and a pint-sized tequila cocktail. I’m not sure if this was a Black Friday special or a happy hour special(I did come in around 5), but it was a huge value. Even without any discounts, I’d happily come back to All-Way, slide into a comfy red booth on the second floor, and devour some classic American casual comfort food done right. I hear there are milkshakes coming soon, too.

All-way is the quick service lunch diner brain-child from the people that brought us the joys of the Savoy and Broder. The décor is thoroughly american classic, with red vinyl upholstered booths packing the space. Filling the hole where the Red Coach flipped burgers and shook shakes for the last 50 years, the All-Way is the classed up version of a old-fashioned burger joint. The menu is simple — they’ve got a ‘seasonal burger’, their traditional burger the«All-Way», the veganized version the«Wrong-Way», hot wings, chicken sandwiches, a cod fish fry, salads and sides. The sides include a «seasonal» option as well, and at my visit it was brussels sprouts with dilled cream fraiche. They offer housemade sodas, and a cocktail list featuring those sodas — bourbon and house ginger brew, tequila and grapefruit fennel soda, gin and lavender, and so on. I had the«Wrong-way» with fries, and the house-made vegan patty had good cohesion, and a bit of a carroty flavor that I liked. I have to say it was a bit pasty inside, but overall it tasted good and was dressed perfectly. The fries are the skinny golden shoestrings of joy that go perfectly with burgers, though they might have been a tad hotter and perhaps a bit saltier. Service is «order at the counter and take a number», but it must have been working because the lunch crowd was being served pretty darn fast. I was pleased by my first trip, and I think the All-Way is going to make a welcome addition to the downtown lunch press, especially with cold wet winter approaching.
