If your truly looking for someone to help secure your home DONOT use ADT. We had a home invasion robbery. When I contacted them to come out and repair a sensor and confirm all was ok w my system I was told no one could come out until the next week but I could go on a priority appointment list. Six days go by w no response from them I finally call them and I’m told I was scheduled for the day I called in but someone(not me) cancelled it and I’d have to wait another week because my request was not an emergency. Home invasion burglary and my Home Security company can’t come for almost two weeks? What’s the point of paying for their service at all?

Last night at 2:00 am the wireless alarm lost contact with the tower and started beeping. The company has no fix for this problem. I would switch in a heartbeat to another company but I am too lazy, and the house has hardwired infrastructure for this type of system. If anyone has a suggestion please share.

Knowingly put me into a 3 yr contract after I repeatedly stated that I was only going to be in a location for months… not years… months. How do you lie to someones face and just do the opposite. Forged my signatures on the contracts that I only saw after singing up. WHAT A PIECEOFSHIT. Fortunately for me adt will never see a dime from me. Shove your collection bills up your ass. Funniest thing is this was my smallest location and I have a bigger front line location as well as a shop and 2 warehouses I secured with competitors. ADT you can thank Isidro Toscano for losing business on 4 other locations b/c of his disregard for my needs.

The worst and I mean really bad. This was once a great company that served their homes and business clients well. Today it’s run by idiots with service people who bring out manuals to figure out what needs to be done. I’m in with this zoo now, but the day I move to the next home ADT will not even be on my list. HEEDMYWARNING! Do no sign up for ADT! We have had continual problems since getting the system installed in our home less than 1 year ago. 1st– the customer service reps on the phone are not empathetic despite the numerous times I expressed my frustration over the continual issues. 2– the motion detector sucks! It was supposed to be set to not detect my cats, but every time I set the alarm I get a phone call 30 minutes later asking if everything is ok. I know good and well my cats were upstairs and nowhere near the motion detector. Why did I buy it if I can’t use it? 3– window sensors are über sensitive and a simple dusting sets them off. Now I have an error message I can’t clear and the rep on the phone says I’ve got to unplug the main plug and open the box and unplug wires. Did I sign up to be a technician for my own system???4– Disappointing in the expertise of the technicians that come to service my home. It seems like the last one if fixing what the previous one did. 5– With all of these issues, I don’t know if someone is breaking into my house when they call or if their lovely alarm isn’t YET again working! I am so over ADT and will be calling to get out of my contract based on these issues. Bad customer service and a bad product. Again heed my warning, do not get ADT! You’ll be sorry… like me. If I could give them zero stars I would. 1 star is being generous.

I made mistake of signing a 3 year contract with them. Horrible horrible service and my music store was broken into 3 times and not once did they call the police. Once, after a break in, they called me at home to let me know the glass break alarm went off. I told them to call the police, then 20 minutes later, no police, so I called 911 and they sent someone out. ADT calls back and I ask why they did not dispatch the police and they said they did not know they wanted me to. It is in our contract. THen after I ditch the service and salesman calls to get me back and says, «We always call the police for a break in.» Bull crap. I lost 10k because they dont call the police. Oh, yeah, and the system did not even function for nearly 16 months and they wanted to charge me to come out and fix their own system. They suck.

Since the intitial installation of my ADT Security system in January 2011 until the time I cancelled the service a year later, I had nothing but problems. The system NEVER functioned properly — and even, according to ADT’s own technician was not protecting us at the time of service call or during the many months it was installed. The company NEVER addressed my concerns or fixed the problem, only offering to charge me more money for additional service calls to repair a problem that they were never able to diagnose. In the end, after countless hours on the phone speaking with numerous different customer service people, I finally reached one who was willing to listen to my story and who promised to refund all my charges since she could see on her own records that the service never functioned properly. However, not only was that refund never forthcoming, but I have recently received a collection notice with a past due amount of over $ 900… which means now MY credit has been negatively affected by this company’s utter ineptitude and lack of customer service. I plan to post reviews all over the internet, to submit formal complaints to the BBB and Attorneys General, and to tell everyone I know about this fraudulent company. Buyer beware… we all need to be wary of companies like this one who prey on home owners security fears but whom are, in reality, part of the problem rather than the solution.
