We absolutely love this place!
We only visit this place at night so can vouch only for chips and salsa which were great.
This place is a non-​smoking place! It is very spacious and has a tall ceiling and has a mixed crowd what makes it really nice. Everyone is very relaxed and including the manager who handles everything very neatly in the background. He is very attentive to his customers and we always appreciate that!
The restrooms are top notch! Usually we don’t revisit places where restrooms are in need of an extra care because it makes one always wonder what can be found in the kitchen behind the closed doors.
Personally I love their karaōke nights it has a decent crowd and great DJs with a great selection of songs.

My favorite food place in Portage. Great special and great staff, we have ate nearly everything on the menu, never disappointed. Best place for food in Portage, IN!

The bar manager contacted me via Unilocal to apologize for my prior experience here. He listened patiently as I described the events of that night, and resolved to remedy the situation.
And did he ever. Tonight the bar next to the karaōke stage was open, the drinks were strong and served in glasses, inexpensive and tasty. The bartender was wonderful, polite, friendly.
It appears to be paying off, too. The place was packed.

Good food and excellent staff. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Service was prompt. Met the new manager, who was extremely personable and seemed very interested in customer feedback and appears to be making lots of improvements. Fun atmosphere with nice bar area and a good place to watch the ball game. I’ll definitely go back!

Solid 4. Nice, attentive staff & facility, chicky cheese sammich delicious, tato skins and fried pickle pretty good. Bartender chatted us up, cook (maybe undercover owner?) Brought out soup sample and asked us what we thought, we shared recipe ideas. Would go again for sure.

Great burger. Entertaining staff and great hospitality. Great beer prices. Some good musicians on weekends.

We went here on a whim off the highway, glad we stopped the food hit the spot. Tasty eats and friendly staff. I made a good choice

No hostess! No server staff! Loud 90s guitar solos! Laser lights shining directly through your eyeballs into your brain! If you enjoy these things in a restaurant but here eating food, then Shenanigas is the place for you.
It seemed like there was only one person working at the bar and serving all the tables. She told us she would be right with us and to sit anywhere.
We sat on their patio for 20 minutes, and received no service whatsoever, and contented ourselves with watching the drunken couple next to us. Certain our server would come!
We ended up bailing and went to Denny’s instead for fast, delicious food.

I have had some pretty tasty lunches here. Cheap prices for the quality make this a «wiener!»

I came here as I was staying at a nearby hotel and didn’t want to walk/​drive far. Ive Been driving cross-​country and wanted something close. We ordered TO-​GO cuz we didnt want to wait and had dogs at our hotel.
Here it goes:
I go in and there are 2 others at the bar. Very slow day I guess. :/​
Anyways, i wanted to order a bacon burger but they were out of bacon! who the h!!! runs out of bacon!
I ended up ordering a «huge» wet chicken burrito… The bartender said I wouldn’t finish it… I got back to the hotel and they gave me 2 beef tacos… Was this a joke? See picture
I ordered my wife a cheeseburger (clearly frozen patty, suppose to have swiss and american cheese, only kraft single) with fries (yes, the frozen crinkle cut ones)
She also wanted a side salad with ranch… Got back to the hotel to discover their side salad consists of iceberg lettuce. No croutons or garnish as the menu stated.
Nice bartender, said she was new. She should run away from this place. No wonder it was empty there.

Update on my second trip here. I was hoping to have a better dinner this time and I did! Date of service 1÷17÷14 at 8 pm. Different woman manning the bar and all the tables. Upbeat and quick with a delish Cosmo! When she took our order she asked how I wanted the burger cooked, big points! I said medium and was cooked really nicely this time. We split the burger and a great Reuben. My fries were crispy as I ordered them. They still were pretty slow for an 8 pm on a Friday night and I cannot get over that ridicules sliding door to the kitchen. I am not sure if that is due to service or inconsistent food but I hope my next experience is as good as the last one! 3.5 stars would be a better review if I had the chance.
