I absolutely adore this place! Probably my favorite place to hang out and get a small bite while reading. The chai tea and the mood soup is fabulous. Wish they were open more, but hopefully business grows and they have to be open all the time!

If you are a tea enthusiast, this is definitely a place to stop by when you are in town. It’s small, but cozy and clean. Great selection of teas, and I love the way they are organized. Also some of the best scones I’ve ever had in my life. They come with delicious jam and clotted cream, I prefer devonshire cream because I’m addicted to sugar but this clotted cream is still amazing. Thick and almost buttery. The sandwiches are also sooo good. I had a reuben here my first time and I still can’t get over how good it was months later. And best of all… great prices. I have very little money to put toward a ‘day out’, but at least I can get a pot of tea and some scones from time to time.

Oh my. So quaint, clean and ADORABLE. Pippa is the queen of tea. I wasn’t sure what I wanted so I gave her a few of my favorite ideas. She brought out options and helped me narrow it down. The tea was amazing and same for the scone. Cannot wait to go back!

We came here because we wanted to try the scone, clotted cream and fruit preserve. It is the best scone I ever had in my lifetime It was prepared like the way the English would serve it to you(the owner is English). Our scones were delicious and moist. the only problem was there is is very tiny in size. The seating area was spacious and there is a fire place indoors.

Very nice and courteous even though it was near closing time. The teas were pretty good but the conversation with the downer was even better. Definitely a good variety of teas also to choose from.

We had the ginger and turmeric tea which was wonderful and some scones with jam and clotted cream. So good! The customer service was terrific and they even let my daughter play with a stuffed kangaroo. Bathroom was nice and clean with a changing table.

Pippa’s Real Tea is a rare gem set in the delightful crown of Port Townsend. Pippa herself is alight with laughter, and passionate about the tea she serves. Unlike many tea shops in the area, Pippa has foregone the gossamer curtains and delicate china, cat printed ceramics, and awfully pungent floral arrangements of a «Victorian» style for a light, festive, and retro layout. I found myself ensnared by the jazz music from the street, pulled through the screen door, and presented with the walls of tea ready for sniffing and purchasing. Beyond the atmosphere and locale, the food served is well prepared, and in the case of the scones and clotted cream far beyond excellent; the scones small and flaky, yet substantial; the cream smooth, thick, and not too sweet.

Pippa is amazing! She has a passion for tea, which allowed us to have one of the best teas I’ve ever had. Their sandwiches are also amazing! Truly one of my favorite lunch experiences!

Fantastic! The sandwiches, teas, and desserts are out of this world! My family and I had four different sandwiches which were unique and fresh, with healthy ingredients. My boys had a Tahitian Dream tea and an Oolong tea which was the best. To too it off, we had a pecan bar which was absolutely delicious.

Very helpful service and delicious tea and snacks. We had to get two pots, just to try more. We even brought a few bags home with us. Very nice shop and a good place to spend some time talking with loved ones.

Pippa, herself, spoke with us last night and suggested we return for a tea tasting, which we did this morning. She sat with us for half an hour as my husband tried a variety of teas and she shared her extensive knowledge and passion. To us, this was the very definition of true customer service and the heart of a small, local shop! While he tasted, I chose a tea based on the extensive smelling collection and enjoyed a cup, bagged and brewed just for me. We left with two bags of tea and an expectation to return often!

Went in a little hungry and I’m pretty sure every word that came out of my mouth made no sense at all when I ordered, however the wonderful lady behind the counter interpreted my gibberish and I ended up with a delicious bowl of lentil soup. I also picked up a scone with clotted cream and jam as well as a jammy dodger. Delicious and true to England. I only wish I could have gone back for tea/wine.

Probably the best in this area. Pippa’s taught me the difference between fresh tea with flavors added and stale tea with flavor masking the actual flavors of the tea. I usually have the tea scone, which is quite small, but filling. Believe me, you only need one! Most importantly, Pippa’s is SANITARY. The floor is swept and the tables are clean. It is not staffed by angry, odd-looking basement dwellers who are too cool to serve you. In fact, there is even a fireplace, and actual art on the walls. Unlike many tea houses in the area, the place is gender-neutral. By this, I mean it does not appear an Edwardian period drama exploded all over the establishment. My favorite teas are the Earl Grey Cream and Spice It Up. Pippa also delivers, if you are local.

I am more than pleased to take the time to write a review for an outstanding business or to give fellow Unilocalers a warning of a less than good business. This business is OUTSTANDING! Months ago my partner and I were winding down a visit to Port Townsend and he began to act a little cranky. You know like those commercials with Betty White, then they feed her snickers bar and she becomes a real person again. I recognized the symptoms and he needed a pick me up, a.k.a. caffeine. That’s when we stumbled across ‘Pippa’s Real Tea’ in Port Townsend. You are immediately made to feel welcome even though it’s your very first visit. Everyone working there has a vast knowledge of the products they sell. There is a huge smelling wall, where you are allowed to smell all the teas they sell. We’ve grown to really like PRT so much that it’s a must on every visit to Port Townsend. Everyone that works there is very charming, kind and knowledgeable. Of course Pippa herself is a true Port Townsend treasure. If she doesn’t leave you smiling, you just might need a little therapy and a hot cup of tea.

Don’t miss this wonderful tea shop, with a wall of unique teas, from black, white, green, rooibos(red bush), herbal Pippa’s has it all! Fun treats, including clotted scones. Pippa with her lovely fun English accent having self and the staff are delightful! The tea served in glass and metal cool tea pots and cups, with comfy mid century modern furniture where you can relax and enjoy hanging out. They even make the tea according to the exact temperature and timing, with little sand 3 – 5 minute timers(think hour glasses) There is a wonderful fabric art show there this month by Jeannie MacMacken, don’t miss it!

Love this place! First of all, Pippa is a gem. She is just a total sweetheart and it’s clear that she loves what she does! Secondly, the tea is heavenly. When I walked up to the register, I told the girl that I had no idea where to start(there is literally a wall full of tea). She asked me what teas I normally like, and picked out a couple for me to smell. I tried the«Pearls of Wisdom» jasmine green tea and it was amazing! They even give you little timers to make sure it steeps for the proper time. Finally, the café has a wonderful atmosphere. I could totally see myself camping out for a few hours, ordering a pot or two of tea, and getting some work done or reading a book by the fireplace. In the summer, I believe the back is open, so you can sit outside. Go to Pippa’s! It’s delightful!

Having just gotten into tea in the last year or so … hey I’m a Seattle brat and self professed coffee snob… I have made it a new fun thing to find a tea shop on every trip I take. There is this great sensory scent bar they have created at the front of the shop to allow you to smell all the different blends. The categories are broken down into how you would drink them rather than ingredients which we found really smart and helpful… even though we pretty much went through all of them. You can sample or order blends that you like and purchase a pouch to go. We found each of ours for about $ 8 for a very good amount. If you wander to the back of the shop there is a small, relaxing very zen seating area that invites you to loose yourself in time and your tea. Give yourself a good hour to really enjoy Pippa’s. The staff is very warm and happy to have you.
