Parking lot and surrounding units in the plaza are empty which is never a good sign. Store seems well maintained and does have a staff that can find items within the store when prompted. Getting their attention is a bit of a pain. Prices are high for toys when compared to stores like Walmart and Target. It isn’t a bad store but the day of the stand alone toy store have passed.

I am not a fan of Toys R Us for two reasons. They are overpriced compared to about any other retailer out there(Walmart, Target, Amazon) and their customer service sucks. I had an issue a year ago at a Toys R Us that was legitimate and took it all the way up to the corporate level and was told basically that it wasn’t their problem. They actually told me they would loose a lifetime customer over what boiled down to $ 20. How is that for customer service? Still I like to take my son into this store on hot days and let him look around. There isn’t much in Port Richey for him so when we visit his Grandpa from Orlando we usually stop by. The employees aren’t particularly friendly and the customers have stolen all of the Thomas the Train engines from the train table. Nice. BTW… the shopping center that houses Toy R Us is rapidly loosing tenants. First Circuit City and more recently Target. Toys R US is the last big anchor. I wonder how much longer it will last?
