I’ve been bringing my computers to Tim & Jim for years now, both for my personal and business computers. I’ve had a system crash, a malware mess my laptop, and recently my fiancé’s work laptop crashed. Each time they were able to revive lost causes and at a very reasonable price. They delivered on time and as expected, even in a rush. The whole time they would call me and give updates as needed, and explain the technical details«in English» when requested. I don’t sense they’re pushing unnecessary upgrades or services. In fact, while I was there Tim literally gave a customer a new-in-box router for free. Tim is the friendlier of the two.

I can’t say enough about Precision Electronics. Every time my computer breaks down, Tim and Jim fix it ASAP and do the most excellent job at the best price in town. My computer comes back to me as good as new! Also, they will do everything they can to keep the cost of fixing down to a bare minimum. Plus, the conversation is friendly as are their two sweet dogs, Jasmine and Sugar. I’ll never go to any other place. These guys are 24K gold!

I love having these guys in town. They have worked on 4 – 5 of our units for our business for over 10 years. They have incredibly fair bench work prices and we usually have our equipment back with in 24 – 36 hours. They are smart and honest and do darn good accurate work. Really read through the 2 negative reviews and ask yourself as a business owner what you would do. These guys are fantastic. And hello, they are techs not salesmen so don’t expect to be shmoozed with a bunch of talk to make you feel good — they have work to do and everyone else wants their equipment back just as fast as you do.

I recently took my two laptops in for quick check on power cord problems. Verdict: don’t use cheap power cords. Cost for the information: over $ 80. I used to trust these guys. I could ignore the total grouch who is one of the partners but overcharging for a basic test is just bad business.

THESE Guys are the best! They told me how to put in my own keyboard on my lap top and charged me nothing. They will charge for diagnostics $ 30 but put it toward repair. They will let you order your parts on eBay and then repair for you. They are very friendly and courteous too. The chocolate lab has great customer skills!

I would leave zero stars if it was an option. I took a laptop to them that had been running EXTREMELY slow(i.e. it took 10+ minutes to switch between a web browser and mail program). Their diagnosis was a bad hard drive. They offered to replace the hard drive or they could install a new one if I wanted to buy one myself. $ 32.50 for the diagnosis. I opted to buy a new hard drive and install it myself. After doing so, the computer shut down during the OS installation every time. I returned to Precision Electronics, told them what I had done, gave them the computer, OS disc, and the new hard drive box with the old hard drive in it. I was told they didn’t need the old drive unless I needed them to retrieve information from it. I did not. The next day I received a call and was told the hard drive is bad. I asked how that can be when it is brand new and they said, «Oh! It is? Okay. Let me call you back.» Another day later I received a call informing me that the CPU had«probably melted» because it is overheating and they were unable to complete the installation. When I went to pick it up the guy said the DVD drive was bad. He then set the brand new hard drive that they had removed for some unknown reason on top of the carbon copy receipt he had just torn from the original — no static bag, nothing. THEN they charged me another $ 32.50! So now I’m out $ 65. Hopefully I can still return the new hard drive. And instead of a really slow laptop I have a paperweight.
