Bejing Buffet

This place was awesome once upon a time. When they first opened they had plenty to choose from and food was always fresh.
The last couple of times I’ve gone it’s always the same food and it’s not always fresh. Had some pineapple and it tasted like mold or something. Now that China inn closed their’s no competition for this place so they don’t care anymore.

Best Chinese food in Port Lavaca. The fried rice and orange chicken is the best. We come here every weekend. Cheap and a variety of food choices, including seafood and sushi. The service is good too. We will come back for sure.

Walked in. probably should have walked out. While I’ll admit it was 9 pm the buffet didn’t close until 1030. Food was being kept warm and hadn’t been changed out for a while. Stuffed mushroom caps were shriveled. Salmon looked like it was from lunch. The two bright spots were the general tso and the chicken wings… but even those were meh. I saw one cook bring out meatballs… I had to spit it out because it was mushy and foul tasting.
You would think they could not screw up fruit. But they did. Pineapple was grey from being either refrigerated or frozen. Watermelon looked more white than red. Desserts with the exception of jello and pudding from a can were awful. I thought they had rice crispy treats… but they were old wonton noodle strips held together with something somewhat sweet.
I did like the wooden sculptures in the partitions between the booths and the ice tea. But that is not enough for me to set foot in here again.

COLD food! COLD everything… except the water. Fish had a, last week’s leftover taste, veggies were limp and several items had been on the bar for too long!

Good food, wide variety of chicken. Especially liked the stuffed crab and the sweet and sour chicken.

Cold food, cheesecake was nasty.
Who knows how many months the sushi had been there,
Really hard to stomach the food while other restraunts exist.

Very good if you crave chinese food. Pricing is very affordable. Staff is accommodating. A+++

The atmosphere is relaxing. The food is very good, nice size buffet, and the staff is very nice and courteous.
