Captain Cliff knows this area like the back of his hand. I’ve been out bay fishing with him several times over the past 15 years or so and have never been disappointed. He’s a great teacher — very patient and kind, and has a great sense of humor.
Cliff can always seem to FIND the fish, and he’s very knowledgeable about the fishes’ preferences for bait and lures, so fishing trips with him are seemingly always successful, even for beginners. He really understands the rules and regulations surrounding fishing. He is also very knowledgeable and respectful of the environment and the salt-​water ecosystems. He often helps us spot stingrays or sea turtles or gulls or other sea critters along the way.
Not only does he know where and how to catch fish, he can also give great tips on preparing them or on which restaurants on the island will help cook them. I definitely recommend Captain Cliff with Crystal Flats Guide Service if you want a great fishing trip with great service.
