First time visit since it changed hands. We shared two very good apps with our friends. We enjoyed the stuffed portobello, full of bubbly cheese, and Southwestern crab dip with naan. asiago and pico de gallo. Both were wonderful. The entrees selected were the cold smoke prime rib, the blackened salmon and the pork loin. Everything was first class and delicious. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was 50’s supper clubby, and you could carry on a conversation with your dinner partners without yelling. I will definitely make a point of going back to try other dishes. Thanks Mary for a great experience.

Our family had a great meal here. The staff was super, the food was superb and location was lovely. Loved the bacon appetizer and Mississippi mud pie.

Excellent dinner! Nice ambiance, view of the river and a guitarist providing nice music. Alex was our bar tender and waiter and provided excellent service. The bacon, crab bake and portobello mushroom appetizers were very good. My fillet was perfect. I will definitely come back!

Had high hopes after a friend’s recommendation. Went on a Saturday night and, while the place was somewhat busy, it certainly wasn’t swamped. There was one table of about a dozen people, but there were also several empty table. The manager & bartenders were very helpful and friendly. We opted to sit at the bar, and after consulting with the staff about the menu offerings, we ordered. I chose the filet, and my wife chose the pork loin. We waited. And waited. And waited some more. The manager was very apologetic, and offered to comp our drinks. As I was expecting our food to be spectacular, I told him that wouldn’t be necessary. So, we waited. And waited. Finally, after ONEHOURANDTWENTYMINUTES, our food arrived. My filet was good. Nothing extraordinary.(In my opinion, it’s hard to screw up a filet) The«duck fat potatoes» were cold. Not lukewarm… not tepid… COLD. The Brussels sprouts were practically raw. Tough as nails. My wife’s pork loin came in two thin pieces. Both were dry. One was just… okay. The other was WAY overcooked, and the consistency of shoe leather. Inedible. I didn’t complain, but the manager could see my disappointment. Disgust, really. He did end up comp-ing our drinks.(the only part of the meal we really liked) If he hadn’t, our bill would’ve probably exceeded $ 70. We won’t be back.

Our first time at River bottom. Very nicely decorated nice atmosphere. Had the pork chops and they were real good and just the right amount of food. Also had the portobello appetizer with Havarti it was delicious. Would definitely eat here again. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. The Mississippi mud pie was mouth watering.

Second time for us to this great place. The food is so well prepared. Six of us enjoyed 5 different entrees and everyone was very pleased. One of my top places in the Quad Cities for superb dining. Good wine list, excellent salads and friendly service, but don’t expect fast service if you have to be somewhere else after. Highly recommend.

Decided to try this place when I saw they cooked their potatoes in duck fat, it seemed like the most Paleo friendly spot in the QC area. The waitress was great when I told her I had Celiac and dairy issues and recommended substitutions for the salad I had and went over all the appetizers to see if I could eat any. The smoked prime filet special was done perfectly and was awesome. As a bonus we got to watch the sunset over the river while dining. I’d go back next time I’m in the area for sure.

Great food. Great service. The wine list could be expanded is the only reason this restaurant is not a five.

Great new restaurant addition to the Quad Cities area. The menu was simple but unique. We had the Portabella Smoked Gouda appetizer, Bibb & Blue salad and Pork Medallions with Bacon and Gnocchi. Everything was delicious and well presented. Small but good wine selection. We had a Meeker Merlot with dinner which was a perfect pairing. Atmosphere was comfortable and the service friendly. The owner stopped by our table to make sure everything met our expectations. Nice touch. Live music was not intrusive and was a nice complement to a great meal. We definitely recommend Riverbottom and will go again soon.

So disappointed! Looking forward to a great meal at a newly refurbished place. Bar atmosphere was very nice — even though the ‘one man band’ couldn’t carry a tune. Drinks were weak. Wine list was a joke. Prime rib @ $ 32 was flavorless and prepared ridiculously. It was cut into a one inch thick cut, then fried on each side like a cheap steak. Nothing about it was appetizing. The halibut was dry and over cooked. And served cold. Very expensive($ 55+ per person) for the very poor quality. This place has no chance to make it as a restaurant unless they get a good food buyer, a good chef, a good manager and somehow everyone that has been there so far has amnesia.

I am in love with this place. The décor is simple and classy. The service was impeccable. They bent over backwards to make special requests and the food was full flavor and cooked to perfection! The wine list was impressive as well. Thursday is ½ price wine night! You will not be disappointed!
